This is a fairly stock list for Sharuum the Hegemon EDH. Big/Value artifacts hit the graveyard. Big/Value artifacts come into play for free.

I like this deck because it gives a home to some of the large janky artifact rares that otherwise are too bad to play in other decks. The Crown/Scepter/Throne of Empires combo is also a really fun one to have in, though eventually I would like to replace it with some more powerful artifacts (Sphinx Sovereign, Magister Sphinx, and some of the big hitters from Kaladesh block come to mind).

Been over a year since I posted, trying to get all my decklists up to date during the quarantine.

Interestingly, I have been using a strategy to conserve cards that involves sharing manabases between decks. Currently, this deck shares a manabase with my Yennet, Cryptic Sovereign deck. Doing this has allowed the manabases to become MUCH more streamlined and powerful, despite trying to keep things on a budget.

As I acquired cards over time, this deck transformed more into a "grind-em-out" style of artifact control. Between Nev Disk and Cataclysmic Gearhulk recursion, I can generally keep things off the board fairly easily. Unfortunately, the main weakness of this deck is a lack of a way to close out the game efficiently once things stall out. I'm generally against infinite combos as I find them an anti-climactic way to finish a game, but honestly this deck could use a streamlined way to win as I frequently find myself ahead only to lose once everyone has had a chance to breathe after Wrath city.

I really enjoy playing this deck! I hope you enjoy it too!
