Wow I do so enjoy this deck! Glad to see the aggro build incorporating the tribe! Can't say I got alot of advice for you since Khans is still not even half way through spoilers but can't wait to see how you adapt the build!

Like it a lot! Maybe the Mardu Ascendancy . Herald of Anafenza makes warrior tokens while getting fatter. Other suggestions might be an Ajani Steadfast or Sorin, Solemn Visitor for the lifelink, to offset some of that draw/painland damage if the game goes longer.

Thanks for the input everybody!

I like Mardu Ascendancy but I feel like the three-drop slot is already so crowded, I could possibly cut Krenko's Enforcer for two but other than that I don't know what I'd cut.

I didn't realize Herald of Anafenza made warriors, nice catch! I'll see what I can do to add some.

After playtesting I have been losing a lot of life so I'll try to add a walker or two to offset some of the damage.

Yeah the Herald himself is a soldier, but a token generator could be neat if you get mana flood.

I'm adding three for now, might lower it down to two if I feel like three is too much

Hey there, Chief of the Edge and Chief of the Scale would like to say hi.

I saw them and I'll admit I was very happy to see two more support cards printed for warrior tribal.

might want bloodsoaked champion in here over Tormented Hero

September 11, 2014 1:16 a.m.

JaYbOc says... #9

you absolutely should be running both.

I'd cut Herald of Anafenza and Oreskos Swiftclaw in favour of Tormented Hero and the new warrior anthem dudes.

Yep I already planned on running both and I am cutting the very cards that JaYbOc mentioned so it's good that someone else is thinking the same way I am. I will probably cut some War-Name Aspirant s as well in order to run both of the "warrior anthem dudes".

Very powerful, I can only give you two suggestions, remove a Path to Exile for a forth Lightning Helix, it's just better in a meta with a tier one burn deck, lots of basic lands, and very small creatures. Which also means that Anger of the Gods is better than Supreme Verdict in the mainboard, (I play one of each in mine though). Finally is the thing I really don't know if you will agree with on. I think Spell Snare is getting worse in the mainboard, as one ond three drops are very dominant at the moment, but it is still just so extremelly good mainboard as it seems, I just like more Remand and that kind of stuff, and I think you could drop 1 Spell Snare and a land for 2 Remand, Seeing how more remands alowes to to play fewer lands, are good against other control decks, and messes with Treasure Cruise pretty bad, but that's mostly my assumption, and I don't know if you agree.

But the extra Helix and anger of the gods, really will make it better though, (unless you are trying to match a specific playgroup).

Thanks for the suggestions, I was building this with the pre-Khans meta in mind but like you said I should probably adjust. I'll make some of your changes and go with them until the meta shifts again.

Kjartan says... #14

Treasure Cruise will probably be banned within long, so wait a bit with buying the card perhaps.

December 3, 2014 7:26 p.m.

parasitian says... #15

Yeah that's what I was thinking when building the deck. I'll start buying cards I know I'll use and then wait until any bannings before getting the rest.

By the way, do you think you could help me with the sideboard? I have a few ideas on what to add but I'd like more input from other players.

Kjartan says... #16

Your sideboard looks pretty much perfect, there is nothing to take out, but maybe add an Elixir of Immortality against burn and soul sisters. But it won't be as important in the current meta, seeing you are using dig through time.

Ohh, and Hurkyl's Recall against affinity, which can be a bad match-up for you.

Has blue moon ever been a problem? Deck looks pretty solid otherwise :)

Soulfire Grand Master might play better in this sort of strategy than Seeker of the Way

parasitian says... #20

HAHAHA Kjartan, read the description. I had no clue that tappedout had already put Soulfire Grand Master in their database but thanks for letting me know!

@CommanderMath, I've only done minimal playing with this deck so I haven't played against a lot of decks.

I've never played against Blue Moon but I'm sure it would be fairly powerful against me considering Blood Moon is very good against me and cards like Keranos, God of Storms get them enough advantage to eventually defeat me.
