Maybeboard

Relatively cheap illusion tribal deck. Goal is to always have Minn, Wily Illusionist on the battlefield by turn 3, and a secondary effect to trigger Minn's ability to generate Illusion 1/1 U w/ Illusion Tribal by turn 3 or 4. It can be a lot of card management, trying to guage when is the best time to sacrifice creatures or draw cards, but overall a lot of fun and very diverse.

A lot of 1 or 2 drop artifacts, such as Reckoner Bankbuster, Flight Spellbomb, and Chromatic Star can be played before Minn hits the field, for cheap rewards from Minn's trigger effect in the early game. As these effects stack up late game, it allows you to trigger Minn's ability on almost every opponent's turn and huge Illusion 1/1 U w/ Illusion Tribal generation.

Many 2 drop creatures serve the same function, such as Jacob Hauken, Inspector  , Lore Broker, and Thought Courier. As these creatures tap, there is great synergy with Unctus, Grand Metatect, essentially doubling their draw per turn. As there are a lot of draw card/discard effects in play, cards like Currency Converter, Bag of Holding, and Wharf Infiltrator recapture value from the discarded cards.

A lot of creatures that gain +1/+1 counters as you draw cards, such as Chasm Skulker can grow very quickly. The specific illusion sub-typed creatures, allow for great trade off when they die, such as Toothy, Imaginary Friend, Jace's Projection, and Oneirophage, allowing a trade for the fewer more expensive cards in the deck. Oneirophage specifically is a great flying attacker (or defender). When Toothy leaves the battlefield, if any of the other +1/+1 counter creatures are the field, Toothy's counters are essentially transferred. It is always my goal to get these on the field ASAP. Many 2 or more draw effects, such as Brainstone and Credit Voucher, can beef up these creatures quickly.

As Minn, Wily Illusionist's effect is only good for permanents, very few instant or sorcery cards. A few counter spells with a cost of 2 or less, such as Keep Safe, Arcane Denial, and Confound. Many of these cards have some included draw effect. A lot of the artifacts already mentioned, also have a cost of 2 or less, so I typically have 2 lands untapped at the end of my turn. If the need comes up to counter something, its there, but otherwise the artifacts can be triggered at the end of your opponents turn. No mana ever wasted.

As there is so much card draw, a lot of cards that give you no maximum hand size, such as Curiosity Crafter, Venser's Journal, and Triskaidekaphile will save your hand from being discarded at the end of turn. Triskaidekaphile specifically has a nifty little win condition.

Some final honorable mentions:

Meloku the Clouded Mirror: If you have untapped lands during an opponents turn, you can quickly generate Illusion 1/1 U w/ Flying to increase the power of all Illusion 1/1 U w/ Illusion Tribal before sacrificing it or blocking with, allowing for great conversion from your hand. Alternatively, you can block many attackers with Meloku's flying illusions, they die and you can return the lands from your hand to the battlefield, untapped. This recycled land can then be used to trigger effects to draw more cards, or again to use Meloku's ability.

Barrin, Master Wizard: Probably the most expensive card in this deck, but well worth it. Allows an easy way to sacrifice your illusions to bring things out from your hand at any time. At the same time, if you have enough mana and creatures, it is a great board wipe for an opponent.

Ixidron: Great board wipe, that doesn't target creatures, so great for getting around hexproof or shroud. Additionally, it doesn't kill or send commanders to exile, so they remain on the field until the 2/2 dies.
