Sideboard

Maybeboard

Enchantment (1)

Hi everyone, This deck Is a typical control deck which uses a large amount of counters and draw spells and a few win cons. Dragons of tarkir has benefited uw control greatly. But I have yet to play this due to no fnm. So could I have any tips or advice from you guys. Counters Dissolve - really strong counter Dissipate - this is just because I cannot find another dissolve but it has helped me a lot when exiling blood soaked champions. Ojutai's command - its a variable card which is great, the price for it is solid. Nullify - helps slow down the opponent or stop hornet queens late game. Negate - planes walkers and other major spells that dissolve cannot solve. Disdainful stroke - in the sideboard because it is too variable, great in the late game but if my opponent is playing aggro then its a dead card.

Removal/ bounce - Banishing light - works on everything so is a solid removal spell. Silk wrap - like last breath but has wider range of targets but doesn't have instant speed, its in the deck to play around rakshasa death dealers and fleecemans most of the time. Last breath - this is in the side board due to silkwrap being better, if my opponent is playing aggro then last breath will come in because it can either heal me or them whilst removing a rabblemaster or even courser. Aetherspouts - love this card, it has the surprise factors and can also slow your opponent down in games due to fear of an aetherspout also it removes his creatures and can potentially save ojutai if needs be. End hostilities - bang and everything is gone, except rakshasa's and fleecemanes... That's the only problem with this card at the moment, other than that it is a solid card. Fated retribution - this helps me against abzan control, walker decks or even decks that are more for the long game. Card draw Ojutai's command - I will counter your siege rhino and draw a card #babycrypticcommand Anticipate - a strong common card which will help to reduce my overall mana in my deck, the scry three is strong. Dig through time - Potentially a cheap card to search through 7 of your top cards, this will either bring up lots of land or a lot of spells, or even both!!! Draglords prerogative - against control this is solid! Keep ojutai in hand and hope for no uncounterable thoughtsiezes or duress. Its pretty much an opportunity with a great ability. Win come Elspeth suns champion - enough said Dragonlord ojutai - to anticipate every turn potentially is strong! Pearl lake - Really good against other control decks. Cheers

Updates Add

So after dtk came out my deck has adapted a lot, for instance anticipate and ojutais command. The first game I had was against a top level magic player who was using red aggro, I got massacred the first game but managed to pull the rams, omen speaker, ojutais command and Elspeth to seal the other two games. The next game was against UB control, I won the first game but messed up with the side boarding helping him win a game, then we just called for a draw. The third games was against UB control as well, I beat him in the first game but yet again side boarded badly which helped him get a draw even though I got him to 1 life. Game four I was against green devotion which was a simple game which was unfair for my opponent but it meant that I managed to get unto the top 8! The top 8 was okay but I faced a combo deck which I gave never seen ( descent of dragons ) which caused me to lose the game, then he went aggro tokens which killed me. Overall my deck was brilliant, I just need more practice and more experience on other decks.
