- Disclaimer: I am a Modern player so please don't be too critical or annoyed.
Arbiter of the Ideal This looks like it should be a staple.
Riverwheel Aerialists looks pretty slick for a control deck, the Prowess mechanic is okay.
- These both seem infinitely better than Mahamoti Djinn as he is so Vanilla
Fated Infatuation - Better than Clever Impersonator - it does the same thing
for 1 less mana, Instant Speed. Unless I am Missing something.
Some day I will read through the Khans and 2015 Cards,
Bye!

Sorry to keep rambling on. I am just finishing up a U/w deck and this is helping me as well. Why 26 lands?
October 22, 2014 3 p.m.
Hi brandonjamesCAC,Now I agree that mahamoti djinn is going to get the boot and the arbiter of the ideal is a potential. Also regarding the clever impersonator, the reason why o take him is because he is a lot better than fated this is because he can copy target permanent aka Elspeth after an ultimate pop or even a banishing light. He is a very good in this deck. Also regarding the 26 land as Azzan told me 26 land is very nice for control, because I need the land at the start for removal or counters. Also with dissolve, Jace and prognostic Sphinx's I can scry my land out if I don't want it. Oh and regarding daxos he has saved my bacon so many times, I have stolen some guys hornet queen in a game and won with him. In a control deck he is soo good. Cheers for the tips though and I hope this may help you as well ( if you need it) :)

I always do! And yes, I see now one says creature one says permanent. I retract

I have modified my deck, by throwing in an end hostilities instead of mahamoti djinn, also kill shot for divine verdict. I still haven't found this deck solid. I'm enjoying it but I need some more advice bar more Elspeth's ;) I'm going to try and get another one next week.

Hb a little bit of mill? Altar of the Brood and the tokens elspeth uses make for a great combination, btw land triggers broods mill.

yes four in the main, it makes for a more consistent early game and can just gain yourself four life on an elspeth token if absolutely needed

Cheers guys but its going to be a control deck, I don't like the mill. So I have adapted it again and have added 2 more banishing lights and have changed the kill shots to devouring lights. Do I put in the extra banishing lights and what would I take out?

if your meta doesn't run many artifacts, I'd remove Revoke Existence for Erase . The instant speed and 1 mana really is a huge difference, and can instantly remove coursers, gods, gods weapons, etc.
Suspension Field might also be good ;)
I agree that you shouldn't run just 1 daxos, I've been running a singleton for fun in my azorius deck for half a year, and he rarely shows up.. :(
Nice, kind of budget build! :) +1

Cheers I will be putting erases in definitely, I completely forgot about those. Thankyou for the advice guys

You should put in more planeswalkers, and to make room for them, take out some creatures

If you build a deck around daxos and it works please let me know. I have tried for over a year to build a deck around him and failed every time. They should have made him mythic and playable :-(
Hope you fare better than me!

Im trying to get one more jace and Elspeth but I'm waiting to get paid. Also daxos works pretty well in this deck because I can exile his blockers and other stuff. With daxos I have stolen hornet queens , whip of erebos, jace and a fair amount of gods.

As an update, I have swapped the divinations for treasure cruises, 1 island and 1 plains for 2 evolving wild and I have put 2 more banishing lights into my main board instead of devouring light, then put in 3 last breaths instead of reprisal.

In my last two fnm tournaments I have come in the top 4, first game was against jeskai ascendancy deck with 4 different colours ( for rattle claws and sylvian cyratids, I drew 1-1 close game but glare of heresy sorted him out.Next one was a mirror matchup where I lost 2-0, I was out elspethed. Match 3 went up against blue black control, I pummeled him, winning 2-0 by focusing all my exiles and co on his win cons. Match 4 I won 2-0 against jeskai tokens , last breath is great against rabble masters. I came 4th in this one

My second tournament I came third. I played against a white black agro deck and won 2-1. Was really close as he got me down to 1 life but dados healed the crap out of me. Match 2 was against jeskai wins ..... Well sort of as I beat him 2-0 . Match 3 went against abzan mid range and got beaten 2-1 due to bad drwas on the last game. Thisndeck is great and cheap to build.

Have you thought of Singing Bell Strike? it is a much better card than Last Breath because it so cheap and to pay 6 mana to untap??? You will be hated. Try Pressure Point, Whisk Away, and good old Cancel. otherwise +1

Less creatures, more removal,Divine verdict Negate Polymorphists jest and Statute of denial are all either bad or not mainboardable.just run 4 last breaths main board, some Reprisals, some aetherspouts and elspeths, 4 banishing lights. 3 sphinxs, and get rid of all the other creatures and get fetches.
