Definitaly +1, nice work.

I playtested it against the borzhov control deck I am working on, and won the first game. With high hopes, I playtested two more games, but your Blood Baron of Vizkopa s are just.so.good. I run two of them also, but you are able to Thoughtsieze and Devour Flesh mine, whereas all of my control is white and black spot removal or delay cards :(

I am officially in a love-hate relationship with this card...

Indeed my friend, Blood Baron of Vizkopa is deadly. Obzedat, Ghost Council may seem fancier but this one is much safer and in the end much deadlier. Just look at him, he just smirks at you. He's wearing a ridiculous hat-cloth piece on his head or whatever, but he doesn't care. He just beats you anyway. His only weakness is that he doesn't like fire, so beware of red spells. :P Always board in all your Mizzium Mortars when going against this guy!

Sweet deck!

Only thing I can possibly think of (and certainly not needed) is maybe a single Erebos, God of the Dead in place of 1 of the Underworld Connections both provide card draw (connections clearly better) but Erebos would make your Devour Flesh that much better taking away the life gain and potentially provide an effective beat stick.

Wow this is really similar to a deck I've been building Orzhov Good Stuff - <3s for Input!.

I think 4 Brimaz is a bit much especially with how little white you have in there. Getting to double white quickly enough for him to be relevant may be an issue with so few white sources.

Whip of Erebos is insanely helpful when all of your threats are scary. Every creature in your graveyard becomes a relevant threat.

You may want to look into Obzedat, Ghost Council and Archangel of Thune . I've a had a lot of success with those two + Blood Baron of Vizkopa . They play very nice with each other =-)

if I didnt had the cash to buy elspeth what do yuo recommend swapping her out for?

October 14, 2014 9:13 a.m.

jackyd says... #10

nothing can replace Elspeth, Sun's Champion in the format wilzon.. sorry bud!

Magnvs says... #11

wilzon, I fear any replacement would perhaps be even more expensive : It would really take a blow in competitiveness, but if you really want a surrogate, try adding a large demon such as Indulgent Tormentor or a large colourless creature like Scuttling Doom Engine . Hope that helps!

I think Liliana Vess is cheaper and could be another alternative to elspeth

Look into Read the Bones as a replacement for Sign in Blood and Dig Through Time for Treasure Cruise.

Aelifre says... #17

jvla24 Sign in Blood is much better than Read the Bones due to being able to burn an opponent out with it. I do agree with the Dig Through Time over the Treasure Cruise though.

The problem with Dig Through Time is the double blue mana symbols when this is a B/W deck full of double white and double black mana symbols...

I would say swap out your Banishing Light for Oppressive Rays. It is really cheap and can aggravate an opponent who has cast a huge creature!

Oh and can I also suggest Aegis Angel?. When she enters the battlefield one of your creatures gains indestructible so, by pairing this with Hundred-Handed One, you will own an awesome blocker!
