As I already said in the description: each card you play has value ;)

Sorry, I see you have 4 Verdant Catacombs . Swap the Marsh Flats for Overgrown Tomb .

I've never seen a jund list not run 4 copies of Liliana of the Veil . Is that what you pulled to make room for the Master of the Feast s? If so I think you'd be better off switching it back =) I have this deck as well, took me a year to assemble (people never trade goyfs) so now I just need a couple of Fulminator Mage s for the SB and I'll be there.
Also: leave Marsh Flats right where it is, one tomb is enough and you need the thinning, plus fetches play very well with Courser of Kruphix .

Sorry but Jund is GREAT deck indeed but it have a bad matchup like vs Burn & some Affinity or the Blood Moon hurt you as well btw +1 :) (& i play sometimes junk so i know Jund too...)

I don't need more Tombs, the mana-base works just fine. But thanks for the suggestion!
I think Liliana of the Veil lost a lot of her power level due to the banning of Deathrite Shaman . She's good in the mirror and against Zoo - but she is really weak against Pod (she's awesome if you can chain Inquisition of Kozilek into Thoughtseize , Lightning Bolt their mana dork and then strip their hand away. But that's a rare occasion. If you just slam her T3 when they have something along the lines of Noble Hierarch , Voice of Resurgence , Kitchen Finks online you don't really gain out of your T3 play. I'd rather have a Anger of the Gods there). Sadly the meta in my LGS is flooded with Pod and so I added a 2nd copy of Chandra (she's so good!) to grind along.
I took out 1 Ooze and 1 Inquisition in favor of the 2 Master of the Feast . I want to test him on Saturday. WotC really made him an interesting one. On the one hand you give your opponent CA, what you absolutely don't want to do as jund, on the other hand he is a 5/5 flier - which is as good as 3-turn-clock in Modern. I think Jund is not the right shell for him, but I could see an Esper-Delver-Tempo deck do very well with him alongside Vapor Snag , Remand and Snapcaster Mage . You don't really care about the additional card they draw, if they can't stick anything to the board and you clock them for 5 or 8 with active delver each turn.
Thanks for the +1
@ Old_Man
I'd say Affinity is 50/50, burn too. It all depends on the sideboard. I had 2 Kitchen Finks in there before, but no-one plays burn at my LGS and so they had to leave. Blood Moon is indeed a trouble-some card always having to keep B/G open is annoying as f*ck. I think Merfolk is an even worse match-up than Burn and Affinity. Mostly because of 1 silly card: Spreading Seas . Trying to assemble 1RR for Anger is quite a pain when they shut down your red with Seas. Also they can reach the critical 3-Lord-mass pretty quickly with AEther Vial and some good draws.
Also your junk-deck is basically g/w hate-bears with black-splash. So no real comparison to jund here. You want to lock out your opponent with stupid cards like Rule of Law or Thalia, Guardian of Thraben . I want to play a fair 1-for-1 game and win on the back of my CA-Engines aka grind my opponent out.
Thanks for the +1 :)

Love the deck! Besides discard though I don't see answers for Blood Moon or like effects. And it seems like that'd kill you. Do you run into problems with Blood Moon?
May 7, 2014 5:51 p.m.
As I already mentioned in above post: If you're not prepared for Blood Moon it's devastating. But that's the same for Zoo, Gifts, Junk, G/B Rock. If you expect hit, hope to find your Abrupt Decay before they find their Blood Moon and keep G/B open all the time. They cast Blood Moon in response you float G/B and blow the Moon up.

i would definitely take out Master of the Feast for 4x Liliana of the Veil because he is horrible against a control match up and could end up helping your opponent to much

@ mrkoyoyo
As I already mentioned in above post: I want to test Master of the Feast . But even if he fails I won't put 4 Liliana of the Veil into my maindeck. She's just not good enough against the current meta in my LGS. I will go back to 3 Scavenging Ooze and probably a 3rd Anger of the Gods .
@ all:
Please, if you want to help, read the other posts or at least the deck description. Much appreciated.

HHHmmm I was wondering what was up when I saw Master of the Feast in this list.
I'm curious to see how he fairs too.
He could work in modern. I'm surprised Master of the Feast + Spirit of the Labyrinth isn't running rampid in standard.
I agree Jund might not be the best shell in the long run, but agree probably the best for testing the waters with as u'll still be able to win games even if he turns out to be a dud. I love Abyssal Persecutor as he's a 6/6 Flying Trampling clock. However it commits me to 4x Liliana of the Veil as an additional removal source. I read ur arguement about her loosing power due to no DRS, and feel the same but I think having 4x Lilly here would pay off as it would keep the CA from Master of the Feast in check.

@APPLE01DOJ - Master of the Feast + Spirit of the Labyrinth is a nombo; Spirit only prevents them drawing 2+ per turn; master triggers on your upkeep so they're still drawing 1 card per turn.
I still vote 4x Lili =)

I like the deck in general, but what do you mean by "the best fair deck".
May 10, 2014 12:10 p.m.
hmm , my deck budget deck usually beat's this , http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/hexproof-aura-modern-1/ , this need's an answer to hexproof beside's liliana like one of those target player sac's a creature in sideboard maybe

XTowelie Killing Wave should do the trick.
He does have some MB & SB Anger of the Gods in addition to Lilly which destroys Hexproof.
Not to mention Pulse & Decay hit your enchantments.
May 10, 2014 6:16 p.m.
So... I have tried the Master of the Feast and expectedly he has been ugly. That boy can beat face like a motherf*cker, but in the end I always lost because my opponent drew into the answers he needed. I think he can be good in an Esper Delver Tempo shell.
@ XTowelie: Engineered Explosives , Abrupt Decay , Liliana of the Veil , Inquisition of Kozilek . Not my most favored matchup nonetheless.
@ Lordfishyy: there are lot's of "unfair" decks in Modern like basically every Combo-Deck. Jund is a fair deck, that tries to win as it was usually intended when Magic was created: beat the crap out of your opponent with big ass creatures Tarmogoyf , Raging Ravine , trade 1 for 1 and win on the back of CA-Machines like Dark Confidant , Chandra, Pyromaster and Courser of Kruphix .
@ actiontech: I upped the Lili-count to 3 MB and 1 SB again :) I can't see a reason to play 4 MB though.

Would you be up for a duel on untap.in? I want to test my b/w token deck, Swarm and Conquer V 2.0 against Jund and see how it matches up. +1 though, very nice looking build!
May 18, 2014 11:30 a.m.
@ xzzane I use MWS. I played agains B/W tokens some times no. It's a difficult but winable matchup. Problem is my Goofys don't do shit as you can chump them pretty easily. I need the right set of removal, discard and Angers and then win on the back of one of my man-lands.
May 19, 2014 3:02 p.m.
What is MWS like? And shame. But thanks for at least telling me how the matchup goes.
May 19, 2014 3:16 p.m.
@ xzzane
MWS (magic workstation) is a free2play tool. Like cockatrice.
