The point of this is to be generally casual, so I might take it to a fnm...maybe...

Okay, so the point is to make all of your creatures have deathtouch, flying, and first strike. That's the goal anyway. In order to get there, the suspension fields should remove any threats that could prevent this goal. Then the Hydra is pretty much there as a backup plan. If all else fails, a really big creature is always nice.
