Thank you. Yeah, this deck can easily be converted to a budget deck. My only concern with this deck is the 2 Temple of Triumph
. The scry is really nice, but I can see myself not having a strong start because of the enter tapped land.

That's my first thought. I really think they harm more than help. You get scry from Titan's Strength and you could put Magma Jet if you REALLY need the scry power. I think +2 Mountain is better than the temples.
The other thought is the Stoke the Flames . Necessary? I know it has convoke but honestly I think you will deal more damage attacking with 4 of your creatures than the 4 damage dealt with Stoke. A LOT more damage. I would add something else instead of that. Maybe the Magma Jet for Scry or maybe something else to trigger heroic. Inferno Fist could be a good boost, heroic trigger, and even finisher.

Thank you, Ishidar. Your suggestions are very good. I will update the deck.

What do you think about Hordeling Outburst, Ishidar? I think the card's only interaction is giving my Foundry Street Denizen a big +3/0 boost until the end of the turn. I wouldn't mind having a card in the deck that had more interaction with everything else. My biggest idea is to just replace Hordeling Outburst with 2 Magma Jets. The additional scry and burn could be helpful.

Stoke the Flames could be good against those token decks that have constant chump blockers. It can go straight to the face in those match ups.

Why in Purphoros' good name do you have wooded foothills in the main?
November 5, 2014 1:37 p.m.
magicevan11 says... #8
Wooded Foothills thins the deck out. I don't have to worry about top decking the mountain I fetched out.

Got it. Not sure it's worth it though. I think I'd rather just have the 4 more mountains. The thinning effect is marginal I think.

It is very marginal, yes. I hope that 1 in 20 games it helps at least.

I think you might wan't some burn spells. Rouse the mob is a bad card, id put in 4 lightning strikes at least.

I have 4 Lightning Strikes in the sideboard for when Rouse the Mob isn't cutting it.

scourging sands is a better sideboard for the mirror match! I just don't think Rouse the mob is worth it

No responses for Circle of Flame (which everyone with red should side board for going against rabblemaster) Doomwake Giant Bile Blight or Drown in SorrowMost likely ruining your whole board to a unrecoverable point. If you're feeling it you can splash white for indestructible or protection spells

With the way people run so many enter tapped lands and run three colored decks I am hoping that a turn 4 or 5 win will still be possible against a deck that uses Drown in Sorrow or Bile Blight. I am not bringing this deck to large tournaments. I will be bringing it to FNM and playing it with friends, so I am not going to splash white any time soon due to non-basics being expensive.

Red Aggro, meet Anger of the Gods
The fact that I can exile every single one of the creatures in your deck with one card is probably a problem. especially being a 3 drop.
still, this is a good deck and can win fast if the opponenet isn't prepared

Whenever I play against a deck that sides in Anger of the Gods, Bile Blight, Drown in Sorrow, or other mass removal after the first round, I will side in my burn spells. I would most likely take out 4 Rouse the Mob for 4 Lightning Strike to put in the last points of damage in the second round.

How much damage do you typically deal by turn 3 or 4? just curious

This deck is just a concept right now, so I haven't played it against anyone yet. I have playtested it against other decks on tappedout and I can usually do 12-15 points of damage by turn 4. That is if they have a good opening hand, and the deck plays at its fullest. Your comment is exactly correct. If my opponent isn't prepared, such as having too many enter tapped lands in opening hand, missing a color, not having removal, etc., then this deck easily wins by turn 5 without needing burn spells.

I actually meant not prepared via deck construction. Decks are designed to run different speeds, but they should have methods to deal with all decks that could run faster or slower than them. Of course this is dependant on your playgroup. Check out the one deck I built, artifacts anonymous. It's built to run fast but has contingencies for other common decks I face. Your deck isn't built like that though because it is literally meant to kill by turn 5. Not many are faster than that.

My roommate and I each run a deck like this (designed to win by turn 4-6). His is mono-red and mine is Boris (red/white). We actually stay pretty even in wins, but I think its mostly because we each keep Anger of the Gods in main deck for each other lol.
That being said, white could certainly make this deck more competitive because cards like Gods Willing and Ajani's Presence take out the need for cards that stop blockers like Frenzied Goblin. But it does slow the deck down because you aren't getting the damage boost most red cards offer with those.
To keep it mono-red, I would recommend taking out the Rouse the Mob as it is very slow on your mana cost. You would likely only be able to cast it on a single target at any time with only 18 mountains. I would suggest something more reliably buffing your whole army like Trumpet Blast. Even though it won't trigger heroic, it will give you enough damage to make turn 4 victories possible in many cases. Otherwise this looks very good. (Though I will admit I'm not a fan of Firedrinker Satyr)
P.s. I recommend using any red fetchlands you have. Deck thinning is uber important for fast decks.

Thank you Ishidar. If I wanted white in this deck I would have to add 4x Mana Confluence, 4 Battlefield Forge, and a couple of plains. I don't have the money right now for that. In fact, I could afford Wind-Scarred Crag but enter tapped just doesn't work with aggro. I have 2 Trumpet Blasts lying around so that might work. What do you think about me taking out 4 Rouse the Mob and replacing them with 2 Trumpet Blasts and 2 Lightning Strikes? Firedrinker Satyr is in here instead of Foundry Street Denizen because I was having to play around foundry in order for it to be pumped correctly. With Firedrinker Satyr, I don't even have to play around it for it to already have 2 power.

Personally, I don't think burn spells have any place being main board in a hyper-fast aggro deck. These decks are all about the MOST effecient use of mana. In other words, 3 damage for 2 mana once is fine, but getting a Satyr Hoplite on the board with Hammerhand is also only 2 mana and still deals 3 damage, but gives board presence to set up more damage later.
With regards to Firedrinker Satyr, he is strong base, but his active is entirely underwhelming. 2 mana for 1 damage to both players? We already know we can deal 3 damage for 2 mana reliably. Dragon Mantle even gives us a 1 mana for 1 damage trade. While he does have 2 base damage, he doesn't bring a lot of utility in buffing himself. I think Foundry Street Denizen is far superior as he has the potential to get much bigger, and with only 1 drop creatures, you are looking at a 1 mana for 1 damage trade again. A few firedrinkers is okay, but you definitely want 4x of the denizen. I would take out 2x firedrinker and the 2 lightning strike for the denizen set. That will leave you a couple more creatures for denizen too.
The only other thing ive tried which sometimes works sometimes doesn't is Hammer of Purphoros. I have a pair sideboarded again other red black or white deads to counteract board wipes like Drown in Sorrow or Anger of the Gods. Since it gives me haste to everything, I can still smack them in the face for the turn 4 win after they turn 3 board wipe me. Also, Circle of Flame in your sideboard takes too much space I think. It doesn't really help because it doesn't truly pose a threat to you, and it won't pose a threat to an opponent in a mirror match. Satyr Hoplite with one token survives the token and so do the popular aggro two drops like Borderland Marauder and Valley Dasher. So my last recommendation is to swap the Circle of Flame in the sideboard for the 2x Lightning Strike and maybe 1 Hammer of Purphoros. You can also swap a hammer for an Inferno Fist main board if you want to test it, but since it is 3 mana, its definitely better sideboard situational in my opinion.
As for splashing white, it does slow the deck down by about 3 turns, so only do it if your local meta has a LOT of removal or anti-red hate that is just destroying your deck. I use 4x Battlefield Forge and 4x Temple of Triumph, because the scry is super beneficial, and we dont mind slowing down a turn with the white. I use Ajani's Presence and a combination of Gods Willing and Feat of Resistance to counteract removal and trigger heroic, and use Launch the Fleet for my finisher. Creatures I swap the denizens and Frenzied Goblin for Favored Hoplite and Seeker of the Way. I also use Glimpse the Sun God to remove blockers and trigger heroic in place of Dragon Mantle. (I also have Firedrinker and 21 total lands).
That's just my take on it though. I have a friend that uses Jeskai colors and has Battlefield Thaumaturge to combo with Glimpse the Sun God and Icy Blast. But the more colors you add, the slower it becomes and more vulnerable the deck is to late-game tactics. Each have their fun values but I think mono-red is the fastest and therefore has the best chance for a streamlined victory.

magicevan11, firemanefruitcake, DragonMaster53 and Ishidar, open http://mtgtop8.com/archetype?a=12&meta=84&f=ST, scroll to the bottom of the page and click Compare Decks. That's all the cards in all the mono-red aggro decks used in the last month or so in competitive tournaments. You'll notice none of them are splashing any colors, and some of them are winning fairly major tournaments or placing second in very major ones. They don't run any direct protection for their creatures, because they run their opponents over so fast that they often don't have time to drop a board wipe. Take a look at their sideboards as well as their mainboards and you'll see what they're running to cover their weak spots, which is mostly burn, Eidolon of the Great Revel and Harness by Force.
I'm not looking to insult anyone, I just want you to be aware that red deck wins is still a thing, and all the decks that punch in the same weight class are leagues more expensive (although tournament RDW still costs because they usually run Goblin Rabblemaster as a four-of).
Evan, I'd take out Trumpet Blast (which is alright), Inferno Fist (which is bad) and a single Satyr Hoplite to run Lightning Strike and Stoke the Flames as four-ofs. You'll be surprised how often you can tap creatures who weren't helping anyway (summoning-sick or crusader token dropped mid-combat) to effectively cast it for three or two, basically letting you recycle the mana you spent on those creatures or instants to fry something. It's efficient and powerful. Also, if they do boardwipe you only for you to finish them off with burn, you'll be laughing.
If you really don't want to mainboard stoke the flames, then add that fourth hoplite back, add a fourth Frenzied Goblin and throw in a couple Crowd's Favors.
