I wanted to play around with mutate and thought perhaps Kenrith, the Returned King could be a decent toolbox commander while also giving access to 5 colors.

There's lots of neat (and probably underrated) triggers that mutate gives and so far playtesting it has revealed that no 2 games are the same - which I like!

This deck is a lot of fun to play and you can build a lot of unique and interesting effects from the mutate triggers. One of my favorites is casting a Demonic Tutor once or more per turn by mutating onto a creature containing Vadrok, Apex of Thunder. Or overloading Cyclonic Rift and then returning to hand with Lore Drakkis so your opponents know you can bounce everything back to their hands at your will.

There is a unique win-con with Kenrith, the Returned King + Smothering Tithe and a way to reduce the colorless activation costs of Kenrith to zero (at least 2 of the following: Training Grounds, Zirda, the Dawnwaker, Biomancer's Familiar, etc).. In this case you can pay a blue to force someone to draw. Which makes a treasure. Sac the treasure to repeat ad nauseam and deck them.
