xiao.wen I have not yet. I will put them in and do some play testing. My concern would be not having enough green mana at the start to get out my elves but all I need are 2 out to make the shrine usable. It will definitely be worth the play test.

right yea i figured at first glance it would reduce your turn 1-2 effectiveness by some percentage points but increase everything after.

I think this needs the playset of Fauna Shaman. After all, it's a tutor for Blightsteel Colossus.

Fauna Shaman is already in the deck but keep the good ideas coming. Always looking for the next card that makes this deck that much faster.

You could also splash black for Thoughtseize and maybe Abrupt Decay. Or even splash blue for countermagic protection. I could see this deck doing terrible against any type of burn or removal on a game two or three. All they will do is save all of their removal for Elvish Piper the turn you play it and possibly all of your other elves.

@Deathlullaby, I know Fauna Shaman is already in your deck, but I was suggesting to play a full playset of all four instead of the three you have listed in your mainboard. Also, Birds of Paradise for more early-game ramp?

Whispersilk Cloak might fit in here nicely too if you want to put more resources toward protecting Elvish Piper and Blightsteel Colossus, rather than the alternate win condition of Elf beatdown.

Have you thought about replacing Blightsteel Colossus with Emrakul, the Aeons Torn? If you give it haste with Lightning Greaves it can attack two times before your opponent can do much of anything. Plus making your opponent sacrifice 12 permanents by turn 5ish would be pretty spectacular. Plus Rogue's Passage...
Regardless, this deck idea is pretty darn neat'o.
+1! :)

@Deathlullaby, I really like this deck a lot and may try throwing together a G/B version, giving you credit for the concept. I'll link it here when I finish it! :)

Nothing garantees that you have the colossus in your hand, though. I think you need more cards like Fauna Shaman. Take Joraga Warcaller out, you shouldn't spend mana on things that you really don't need.

@Taxihappy, lol literally was just about to suggest that! Emrakul, the Aeons Torn would be nice!

Also, just got the T5 non-combo win using Elvish Promenade t4 with 4 elves out then tapping my Elvish Archdruid+mana dorks to cast a 5 time kicked Joraga Warcaller, swing next turn

@Taxihappy shedidthistome Emrakul, the Aeons Torn only gives you the free turn if you cast it. Elvish Piper does not cast so Blightsteel Colossus would be a faster KO.

@We_Are_Legion, I never said anything about gaining an extra turn from Emrakul, the Aeons Torn. COuld you point out to me where exactly I said that before you start calling me out for things I had never even mentioned? In any case, the silver bullet creature you choose to use is completely opinion-based. In my opinion, Emrakul, the Aeons Torn is somewhat superior to Blightsteel Colossus, because it can't be the target of colored spells and Blightsteel Colossus can. Furthermore, Blightsteel Colossus can be blocked and while, Emrakul, the Aeons Torn can be blocked too, Annihilator triggers first, which in my opinion, is superior. You also can't always count on Lightning Greaves being out on the battlefield.
There are also other silver bullet creatures too, Progenitus for instance.

Theres a way to win like this on turn 1, but it needs red and blue.....and a Black Lotus.
Turn 1: Play a mountain, and a Black Lotus. Then play Ornithopter Sacrifice the lotus to get three Islands. Play Tinker. Search your library for Blightsteel Colossus, and put it into play. Then tap the mountain for Unnatural Speed. ATTACK!!!

Added Lightning Greaves to allow fatal swing up to 2 turns earlier or at least protect your piper until you can pipe out Mr. Colossus.
