Strionic Resonator could be good here. Also, things like Bloodsoaked Champion and Reassembling Skeleton and Nether Traitor are nice. Ogre Slumlord is good fuel for creature sac loops as is Mikaeus, the Unhallowed. Things like Chord of Calling / Green Sun's Zenith help dig the creatures you need. Diabolic Intent is expensive but will work brilliantly in the deck. High Market is a must. Also, you need ramp in a deck like this. Deathrite Shaman, Nature's Lore, Sol Ring, Sakura-Tribe Elder, Skyshroud Claim, Rampant Growth, Cultivate, things like that. High end creatures, you want things like Sheoldred, Whispering One and Overseer of the Damned (makes black tokens when stuff dies, seems good). Dictate of Erebos is nice too. Hopefully this helps a bit.

Pretty good ideas enpc. Can't say I agree with all of them, but I agree with most of them for sure.

What about Gleancrawler He looks like he'd be some fun.

December 15, 2014 11:24 p.m.

enpc says... #4

Yeah, he helps fuel the sac loops. The problem is that you don't get to recast the creature that turn but he'll definately give you some bang for buck. Out of curiosity, which cards don't you agree with?

Green Sun's Zenith: As it is, I don't think I run enough green creatures to make it worth it's bang. If I had more, yea.

Strionic Resonator : I guess I just don't see it, this could totally be me undervaluing the card, but it's a card I have, so if I'm proved wrong it can easily be thrown in.

Alright, just reread my list and nvm what I said about Green Sun's Zenith I thought I had far less green creatures than I do -puts it in-

Strionic Resonator works with your general, as well as all of the ETB in your deck. Its a card I would recommend testing out. If you find it underwhelming then its no big to take out.

I'm also a huge fan of Yisan, the Wanderer Bard / Birthing Pod. They're both a bit build around but they're also amazing value if you have the curve for it. And things like Birds of Paradise, Sakura-Tribe Elder and Wood Elves help on the low end. But yeah, Overseer of the Damned - I know I recommendedthis card before but the amount of check boxes ran out. This card is an amazing high end. 5/5 flier, kill spell and with your general and a sac outlet gets really broken. Oh yeah, speaking of sac outlets - Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord. He gives you a really good sac outlet AND win con all in one card.

Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord and Overseer of the Damned are both good ideas, but I'm kinda set on the number of creatures I have, what would you suggest taking out?

Abyssal Persecutor - doesnt really do anything other than be a value creature, but you got lots of those.

Brindle Boar - Your general does this

Brindle Shoat - Feels liknda underwhelming

Bogbrew Witch / Festering Newt - With the Cauldron they are kinda funny sure, but they seem a bit meh by them selves.

Alright, got em in. Took out the brindles and bogbrew to throw in the Sakura-Tribe Elder I just like Abyssal Persecutor too much. He's a lot of value that can be ditched when needed with sac engines.

I'd say take out Abyssal Persecutor and maybe switch in Doomgape. It's a working sac outlet and will help you gain even more life depending on what you sacrifice. Also, as for Pharika, God of Affliction and Deathrite Shaman: they work with the colors and the sacrificial fodder, but since you do wanna reanimate things you might wanna be careful with running them. Because you might not want to exile too many creatures from the graveyard. But other than that awesome deck +1 from me.

Also you definitely want a Birthing Pod

Take out Forbidden Orchard for Strip Mine. You don't want to give other players creatures. Also, Golgari Keyrune should become Chromatic Lantern. Basalt Monolith can be replaced with a Thran Dynamo or Worn Powerstone. Also, swap in Evolving Wilds / Terramorphic Expanse which can eventually be upgraded into fetches.

Why does everyone hate on Abyssal Persecutor. I thought I was being smart when I put him in there. And yea I know. I really just wanted a reason to run Pharika, God of Affliction. Ever since it's art had been spoiled I wanted to build something with it. Anyways, what should I take out for Birthing Pod? I kinda want to keep the cost similar to what it is now.

I have no problem taking out Forbidden Orchard but I already have Strip Mine other inputs are good ideas. I do have an R/G fetch that I can toss in there right now, It's in my Standard Jeskai deck but it can go without it.

How about a Mycoloth or a Vengevine? Both are great cards for Savra- Mycoloth after Avenger of Zendikar is just brutal. Vengevine's recursion is really fun. Also, perhaps try to add a Hell's Caretaker- it's actually really amazing recursion. Finally, throw in Genesis and Buried Alive and you've got instant access to whatever creatures you need to win.

Mycoloth I can add in for sure. I recently got a copy of it for a trade. It was originallly going to go in my Simic deck, but this is a better fit.

Hell's Caretaker: Could see this, for sure. I had this in an old prototype deck of mine and I liked it. I can see if I can work on room for it.

Genesis and Vengevine : I could see these being nice, but they're both rather expensive and I'm not sure what i'd take out. I kinda want to keep the price hovering in this range.

December 16, 2014 11:48 a.m.

dbpunk says... #20

A cheaper alternative to Vengevine is Phytotitan. You can easily sac him and have him back next turn. And I'd say definitely take out Commander's Sphere for Birthing Pod because that's a better fit in your deck than that card when you have plenty of sac engines for mana as is. And you need stuff to find cards.

showda says... #21

I will probably end up adding Vengevine in the future, but yea, Birthing Pod is for sure going in, although i'm not sure for what yet. As i stated earlier, I'm trying to keep the price to buy near what it is now.

showda says... #22

Also, should I possible add cards like...(Forgot name of card), where you pay X mana and enemy loses X life? With both of my Altars, I could gain up a lot of mana that it could be a possible win con.

dbpunk says... #23

You mean Exsanguinate? Maybe but by itself without a real way to reuse it it's not a huge difference.

December 16, 2014 12:26 p.m.

Honestly what would help more is stuff like Grim Haruspex

December 16, 2014 12:28 p.m.

showda says... #25

Yea, draw is something that I need more of. I can probably work that in there.
