Sideboard

Creature (4)

My Sliver Pauper deck that I put together. Im not sure how competitive it is but this should be a pretty solid deck. Any help would be appreciated.

The goal of this deck is to get out as many slivers that buff each other so your board quickly gets out of hand with big creatures while having spells to stop you from flatlining in the mid to late game.

Muscle Sliver Predatory Sliver Sinew Sliver and Plated Sliver are all there to help make your creatures stronger, and with just a few of these on the board it can get crazy fast.

Flanking and first strike from Sidewinder Sliver and Talon Sliver allow the slivers to block as if they were +2/2 more and still survive. Your 3/3s are able to block 4/4s and survive with these.

Winding Way and Lead the Stampede both help the deck in the midgame once you have played out your hand allowing you to never run out of slivers.

Vines of Vastwood acts as a nice protection spell as well as a surprise buff spell to finish off your opponent.

Journey to Nowhere is just a simple removal spell that can be used to get rid of some of your opponent's pesky creatures.

  • Improvements -

Im not sure if having just 4 copies of Journey to Nowhere and Vines of Vastwood is optimal, maybe I should remove one and replace it with a card that has the same ability as the other in order to improve consistency. Like for example removing Journey to Nowhere and replacing it with Mutagenic Growth or Groundswell. Or maybe having 4 of both and being more versatile is better? Once I end up building this deck and playing with it Ill see which is better.

Why is Talon Sliver in the sideboard? I feel like he is a good addition to the deck but I cant find what to replace it with, especially since having multiple of him doesn't stack. I kept him on the sideboard more as a maybe board to see how you want to tinker with the deck.

*Note: I dont have a real sideboard at this moment because I just play in a casual playgroup where not all of us will even be playing pauper, I just wanted to have some restriction on myself when building. So because of this I dont really have a use for a sideboard but any advice on sideboarding in case I end up going to a tournament with this deck. (The main reason why I dont have a sideboard is because I have not played any games of pauper and I dont know the meta and what I have to build around).
