Credit for the original list goes to SaffronOlive's MTGgoldfish article.

The deck is basically a tempo deck; it attempts to land 8 power on turn 2 then protect it with counterspells and bounce spells to keep the beats coming.

As far as landing 8 power on turn 2, that is accomplished by using the namesake keyword: evolve. This would be done by playing a turn one Cloudfin Raptor or Experiment One. Then, it is followed up with a Young Wolf which can be immediately hit with a Pongify effect to get the evolve creature to 3 power (both can be evolved to 3 power by properly stacking the evolve and undying trigger). You can also hold up the Pongify to blank a removal spell, if you're worried about that.

My list does differ from the SaffronOlive list slightly. I cut 2 copies of Rapid Hybridization to go up to 20 lands. I also don't run Evolving Wilds because I can't afford to lose tempo on a land coming in tapped.

I have replaced the Boon Satyrs with Vendilion Cliques. They don't work as well with the Evolve creatures (can't get them to 4 power) but they are a sweet evasive threat and also give me some solid top end disruption

Future Upgrades:

A possible upgrade is the manabase: going to 4 Breeding Pools and having fetchlands (obviously Misty Rainforest would be the best option. Serum Visions is also probably worth a look.

Matchups:

Round 1: 0-2 vs Living End . Probably could have played this matchup better- I need to prioritize having mana up to counter Living End, but waiting too long will just have them hardcast threats that are bigger than mine. I need to think about how to beat this deck a little more. Also had to mull to 6 cards both rounds, so that could have affected the results.

Round 2: 2-1 vs UR Storm. I think winning this match was slightly due to the opponent not knowing how to deal with my deck. He stormed up to a Grapeshot to wipe my board, but he knew that I had a Pongify in hand so he played into a trick that stopped any of my creatures from being removed. Vines of Vastwood was solid sideboard tech here.

Round 3: 2-1 vs 8rack. I feel like tempo is a rough match-up for 8rack because i quickly landed some threats and just waited them out. Ensnaring Bridge is a dangerous card that I can face in this match-up. I think I'm gonna add some sideboard tech to deal with problem permanents. Another match-up where Vines of Vastwood was a solid board.

Round 4: 2-0 vs Mono-black devotion. A deck that seeks to land a big 3 or 4 drop that can win the game can fall prey to a tempo deck pretty easily. I dealt with a Phyrexian Obliterator 4 times- it never stuck around long enough to attack or take damage. Solid match-up for me.

All-in-all I was very happy with how the deck ran. I am considering starting to invest in some of its upgrades above.
