What about using a pair of Sign in Blood for drawing some cards? It will help you when your hand is empty. If you prefer a similar effect on a creature you can try Blood Scrivener

For 8Rack to be successful you need to focus on 2 for 1s not 1 for 1s because then the deck becomes too slow to be effective.

Drown in Sorrow maybe and some Tasigur, the Golden Fang would be great.

I like the idea of drawing cards, I just need some more ways to do so. I also completely looked over Wrench Mind when reworking this deck. Thank you for reminding me about it :D

Sign in Blood becomes better than Divination, Damnable Pact better than Blue Sun's Zenith, and Read the Bones being better than Preordain.

OK, not all of those may be true, but if you're looking for ways to draw cards, black is secondary to blue, just note that you should pay NO MORE than 1 life per card, if you pay more you're not getting the proper bargain and should talk to your local demon about his Promise of Power.

kameenook, I have considered splashing either blue or red for this project but never got around to it. Read the Bones was something I thought of last night and I'm currently digging around on the Gatherer for stuff like it. Phyrexian Arena was something I thought about as well.

Phyrexian Arena is the best option. ...however this deck COULD benefit from using Sign in Blood as a burn spell.

Waste Not would work very well in this deck!

Hero's Downfall can be replaced for a lower cost removal such as Doom Blade or Go for the Throat.

I wouldn't run either of those but I wouldn't run Hero's Downfall off 18 lands either. He's already got Smother and Victim of Night which are the best other options. Maybe some Necrogen Mists?

spyroswiz29, do you know of any Mono-black removal that can be rid of Planeswalkers besides Downfall? I will gladly pay 3 mana to kill a top decked Karn or Ugin. Good suggestion though. Thank you for taking time to give some input.

First, you have 4 Wrench Mind in play, and 1 in the maybeboard. Don't need 5. Second, you could consider adding a couple Tragic Slip, as a low cost follow up on your instant creature removal cards.
