This is a fun casual deck that I made for my wife that was originally netdecked and based from: Death on Foam wings. Needless to say it is no longer viable. Just something cheap and fun built around synergies with Ornithopter and
Illusory Angel
and the CIPHER mechanic. But this deck used to be standard so I'm improving it to be permanently in the modern format.
Here is the first draft, so pretty much most of the deck is completely replaced except for Hands of Binding. The deck redesigned for more field presence. With stronger creatures
Niblis of Dusk
rather than
Welkin Tern
. Focused more on evasion and suppressing any attackers with spells temporarily and punching through in the air. Versus faster decks, I can side deck in Frozen AEther and more bouncing cards.
Creatures:
Rattlechains - Early creature presence, protects my creatures from getting removed and gives them all Flash.
Niblis of Dusk
- The frontline of the offense. This will usually be a 3/2 with favored winds along with any spells that boosts it with prowess. Tremendous with
Ordeal of Thassa
Stormbound Geist - The one that can take a hit.
Niblis of Frost - With a few flashback spells, it can trigger and control the field.
Dominus of Fealty - Start taking control of the opponents important permanents. It's also a spirit
Nebelgast Herald
- Provides a nice effect of tapping enemy creatures whenever you summon a spirit which is what this entire deck is composed of.
Spells:
Essence Flux - blinks them and makes them stronger. Nothing wrong with that.
Favorable Winds - makes this deck much more formidable
Hands of Binding - essential for locking down the field while you have your way with the opponent's life points. Works wonders with
Niblis of Dusk
for triggering PROWESS
Silent Departure
- I had some issues with very large creatures with counters. Flasback is in mind to activate any prowess or creature effects.
Singing Bell Strike
- This works as a cheap removal and absolutely stuns the use of mana late game.
Think Twice - Draw a card and has cheap flashback costs. Mostly designed to synergize with PROWESS.
