Elemental AppealMTG Card: Elemental Appeal wouldn't be bad, not sure how much you would need it, Magus of the MoonMTG Card: Magus of the Moon isn't bad, but he is counter intuitive to Molten RainMTG Card: Molten Rain, also with Koth of the HammerMTG Card: Koth of the Hammer you might be able to Kick it every now and then.

Yeah, so Magus and Molten RainMTG Card: Molten Rain don't work together, but still together they eliminate fetchlands and most mana bases, the entire Tron deck, and still remove a land that they may have needed. Still worth it... Elemental AppealMTG Card: Elemental Appeal is pretty good, yeah, maybe I'll try that out.

Spark ElementalMTG Card: Spark Elemental is another good early-rusher and functions like another lightning bolt. BrowbeatMTG Card: Browbeat can also help refill your hand or deal some extra damage. Flames of the Blood HandMTG Card: Flames of the Blood Hand is also a good heavy-damage dealer.

Yes, MechaEmperor7000, but I prefer Lava SpikeMTG Card: Lava Spike over Spark ElementalMTG Card: Spark Elemental because its more direct and ressurects Chandra's PhoenixMTG Card: Chandra's Phoenix. I prefer Ball LightningMTG Card: Ball Lightning over Spark ElementalMTG Card: Spark Elemental because it is much more damage, and more overwhelming to an opponent, and I prefer Hellspark ElementalMTG Card: Hellspark Elemental over Spark ElementalMTG Card: Spark Elemental because, again, it is more damage in the end. I am debating though whether to throw in 2 BrowbeatMTG Card: Browbeat or just stick with Molten RainMTG Card: Molten Rain... but also, yes, Flames of the Blood HandMTG Card: Flames of the Blood Hand is very good, and thats why I use it in sideboard, mostly against life gain (Soul Sister) decks. Thanks, feedback much appreciated.

Blood MoonMTG Card: Blood Moon over Magus of the MoonMTG Card: Magus of the Moon for sure.

Really? I don't know, Magus is a pretty efficient attacker... I'll run 2 and 2 and see which is more effective...

Also, I'm just taking out the 2 BrowbeatMTG Card: Browbeat for 2 Spark ElementalMTG Card: Spark Elemental, it's just so much faster.

Ohthenoises says... #9

How often do you play v.s. control or heavy counterspells?

April 13, 2012 12:19 p.m.

MitchellSocks says... #10

If a lot, I think Ohthenoises is suggesting BanefireMTG Card: Banefire

April 13, 2012 3:27 p.m.

Ohthenoises says... #11

That and ReverberateMTG Card: Reverberate to make sure his creatures stick to the battlefield.

I would consider BanefireMTG Card: Banefire in mainboard, but Increasing VengeanceMTG Card: Increasing Vengeance is, IMO, better than ReverberateMTG Card: Reverberate. Do you think that would be more fluent and powerful than ManamorphoseMTG Card: Manamorphose?

April 13, 2012 3:37 p.m.

vishnarg says... #13

Is BanefireMTG Card: Banefire really THAT good? I hear so many good things about it but it just seems like a FireballMTG Card: Fireball to me. Maybe I should try that new XXR AVR Mythic thing... what's that one called?

April 13, 2012 3:38 p.m.

Ohthenoises says... #14

The reason banefire is good is because it can't be countered. Personally I like reverberates because you can counter a counterspell or copy one of your own spells. It gives you flexibility.

vishnarg says... #15

True and true... I just can't bring myself to mainboard it, but I'll test it. Thanks, +1 is welcome

Ohthenoises says... #16

Well... what does mana morphose get you? Its costs two mana but it adds two mana ... you draw a card but you used it in a slot. Its wonderful in declare where you have to worry about color types of mana I.e. 3-5 color decks. Personally you could toss them in there.

April 13, 2012 4:01 p.m.

vishnarg says... #17

Okay, so reverberate? Yeah I'll try it.

April 13, 2012 4:03 p.m.

mozerdozer says... #18

Magus of the Moon still lets Molten Rain deal damage as it does not add the Basic supertype.

Chandra's Pheonix is not very good with only 12 burn spells in the deck. you'd be better off with Shard VolleyMTG Card: Shard Volley or Viashino SandstalkerMTG Card: Viashino Sandstalker.

April 17, 2012 1:22 p.m.

vishnarg says... #19

But Chandra's Phoenix is good in it's own right. Maybe I should replace Keldon Marauders with Shard Volley, it is a little faster. I'll try that.

ShockMTG Card: Shock, Galvanic BlastMTG Card: Galvanic Blast, they are both good. Burst LightningMTG Card: Burst Lightning.

April 22, 2012 7:52 p.m.

Volcanic FalloutMTG Card: Volcanic Fallout is a nice sweeper, Sudden ShockMTG Card: Sudden Shock in the side can get that last bit against control decks if you feel its that much of a problem, but otherwise I'd skip it. I would cut 2 3 drops for 2 additional Shard VolleyMTG Card: Shard Volleys, a few extra Lava SpikeMTG Card: Lava Spike effects is worth the land destruction if you can kill them.

April 22, 2012 10:55 p.m.

vishnarg says... #22

Yeah I think I'm going to add Volcanic FalloutMTG Card: Volcanic Fallout... but theres no room :(

April 23, 2012 3:27 p.m.

vishnarg says... #23

I added Burst Lightning, kicker is nice

Question: I can cast Shard VolleyMTG Card: Shard Volley and target an Arid MesaMTG Card: Arid Mesa, then activate Arid MesaMTG Card: Arid Mesa on top of the stack, I get my land, then Shard VolleyMTG Card: Shard Volley resolves as a bolt with no drawback, correct?

April 23, 2012 3:31 p.m.

No you can't because sacrificing a land is part of Shard VolleyMTG Card: Shard Volley's casting cost. The way to play Shard VolleyMTG Card: Shard Volley is when it's your last spell available, but 1 mana and a land sack is faster and more efficient than 2 mana (IncinerateMTG Card: Incinerate)
