I can tell you spent a lot of time and thinking into this... I like it. Although I would think about side boarding Grasp of Darkness instead. I just feel like something more useful could use that space!

Maybe for Alms of the Vein?

I just finished a deck similar to this one. I played it against some friends and it is pretty fast. I really like alms of the vein for it's madness cost, it's a 6 point life swing. That's decent for 1 black mana.

The one problem you may run into is top decking too fast. I would add more tormenting voice, and I used the insolent neonates as another card draw mechanism. Use them to block then sac them, discard a card, draw a card then cast the discarded card for its madness cost.

Good Luck

I decided to take out the asylum visitors because they weren't doing much for the deck. I added in a tormenting voice and more grasps of darkness. If I don't need the grasps I'm definently changing them out for alms. Thanks for the suggestion!

I went 4-0 at my Gameday with B/R Homebrew Madness. You've made a few cuts/additions to the deck that I intentionally cut from my version.

Very similar to my deck I unfortunately went 1-3 at my game day which sucks but I hope I can improve mine for the future.

Looks fun and I love your description!

As for the deck itself, I played a couple of games with B/R Vampires as well... which leads me to wonder: How are you not starving of cards early on? My madness engine used to run dry after a couple of turns, and if I hadn't brought my opponent to the brink of destruction by then, it was pretty much game over for me. So I added 4x Asylum Visitor and 2x Tormenting Voice to get some circulation going and have some fodder for discard effects. By doing that, I could keep up the madness and was able to win even if the first turns don't go as planned.

If you don't have that problem then never mind!

casmiel, Insolent Neonate let's me draw when I sacrafice it and discard (which in most times lets me use a madness card). I usually use that but I still run out eventually, but by then my opponent is either dead or very close. I used to run Tormenting Voice and Asylum Visitor but I usually won or was dead before Asylum Visitor was any use, and Tormenting Voice cost too much im the first five turns to do anything else after it like a madness combo. Thanks for the feedback! I greatly appreciate it and will use it to further improve my deck!

Weird how our experiences regarding Asylum Visitor are that different. Maybe my opponents were better at stalling it out? Still, Neonate is just 1 for 1. Nice to keep the cycle going but +0 cards in the end. I'm running a couple of copies as well and know it's useful but it's not a real alternative as a drawing engine for a card-hungry deck like Aggro Madness for me. If they are dead by the time your hand is empty then there's no need to bother I guess! Good luck with your Vamps and let's hope for some decent mid-lategame cards in Eldritch Moon :)

casmiel Yeah, most people in my location run fast decks so most games don't last that long. But I'm so hyped for some new vampires to improve my deck in Eldritch Moon as well!

deividmirom, very interesting suggestion. I haven't thought too much of using Molten Vortex before. It actually seems like a great card for something like this! xD I want to try to keep my deck as standard as possible for when after Dragons and Origins rotates out, but I will definitely give it some thought! Thank you!

Whenever I play these decks I go, "Oh, great. Will I keep up?" Very powerful if not almost immediately checked. Can't think of the name but there's that 1CC red enchant creature. Attacks each turn and when dies makes a 3/4. Some dude was abusing that with Insolent Neonate. The rest of his list looked identical to yours. It was really cool and really good. That was also the first time I seen someone play madness combo right. It was like a chain effect that slaughtered me game 2.

Very cool deck.

That would be Skin Invasion.

Really nice deck! I'm running Vampires, too, but with less creatures. I'm using Alms of the Vein and it works well along with Lightning Axe, Heir of Falkenrath  Flip, and even when Olivia, Mobilized for War is on the field.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think Drana and Stensia Masquerade have a downside you may have forgotten to mention. Since Drana has first strike, her damage will hit before any other creatures and, as a result, your other creatures will be pumped as they swing in for their damage. Masquerade gives everyone first strike so you won't have Drana hitting first and giving out counters before other creatures have their damage assigned.

Just a little interaction I figured I might mention.

May 24, 2016 12:27 p.m.

AngryChewie Drana having "first strike, first strike" wouldn't hit first anyway?

Haha, sadly no.

lol, sounds like a new lame ability. "Double-First Strike". :P

Hey, at least it would be better than Outlast! (I just had to say it)

How does this deck handle stuff like languish? Seems like it could completely destroy any chance of pulling off sweet combos..

Have you played this deck in a Standard tourney recently? If so, how did it do?

Replace Fiery Temper with Alms of the Vein seeing as your most likely to target an opponent with Fiery Temper.

Alms of the Vein deals the same amount of damage for the same converted mana cost but you also gain three life.
