Miraxis

Midrange tempo deck taking advantage of some of the best cards in the format.

key plays and interactions

Disowned Ancestor is an easy card to overlook. For this deck he offers a lot. He shuts down most threats that can hit the board before Reaper of the Wilds or Polukranos, World Eater. He also gives a solid target to Kin-Tree Invocation , a second turn 4/4 is nothing to sneeze at. From there he turns into a mana sink and stays relevant with his outlast.

Kin-Tree Invocation is another card that offers great flexibility. Almost always a 4/4 or 5/5 for GB.

Reaper of the Wilds is one of the best beat sticks in standard right now. Efficient cost, hard to kill, evasion in the form of deathtouch and scry makes her a Swiss army knife.

8 mana dorks add speed and offer emergency offense/defense

Courser of Kruphix and Polukranos, World Eater enough said.

On to the mana base. The best part of the deck is that is that only two out of 24 lands come in tapped. That puts me ahead of most multi colored decks I have see post khans. Yes, six of my lands hurt me. But there's a bit of life gain with the Coursers and it's not out of the norm for most decks I see. Yes I could run fetches, but I don't have the ones I need yet.

So to sum it up. Play big butt creatures early and often then make beefy tokens. Ramp into strong beaters and swing til their dead.
