Abzan aristocrats in standard! Gain life, lose life, trade creatures, grind hard.

I realize that I may raise some eyebrows with Severed Strands over Assassin's Trophy. Trophy is obviously on average the more impressive card! That said, this deck focuses strongly on reasonable life gain cards being paired with payoffs for life gain cards: Midnight Reaper provides powerful card advantage at low prices and his downside is made negligible, Oathsworn Vampire is a powerful against control, blocks well, and pairs wonderfully with Vraska and strands, and obviously Resplendent Angel wins the game almost single handedly if you get her going. All other cards in the deck, apart from Venerated Loxodon, work to enable this.
