I'm not really seeing Primeval Titan in here. I understand that he's a huge trampley beater, but at 6 mana he's really up there, and in an environment rife with low-cost removal, it seems really anti-value. I think I would rather have something more aggressively costed like Loxodon Smiter (which has some really relevant upsides), or even Advent of the Wurm, which is an instant-speed 5/5 trampley beater.

I would definitely agree w/ dewicious007 that Primeval Titan is kind of a non-bo here, and well replaced by Loxodon Smiter.

+1, like the deck a lot, minus Tarmo's stupid high price tag!!!

10 counter spells is a bit heavy on a deck that doesn't run AEther Vial. You're going to have to chose almost every turn whether to play a creature or leave mana open for counter spells. It's a difficult line to walk. Also bear in mind that there are counter spells that only cost U in Modern that are still quite good. I'd suggest 4x Remand, 2x Mana Leak, 2x Spell Pierce, 2x Spell Snare and then drop Rune Snag altogether. It'll give you a much more playable set of counter spells and will allow you to set down more creatures in the early game, which is critical. You could also just drop the Mana Leak and go down to 8 counter spells and add in 2x Scavenging Ooze or 2x Knight of the Reliquary (which combos well with fetches and Lotus Cobra).

Also, a singleton Sword of Fire and Ice and/or Sword of Feast and Famine would really increase the mid-range capacity of the deck. It can turn your Birds of Paradise (or any weenie) into a threat if they start removing anything threatening.

Even if it makes us want to tweak the mana ever-so-slightly... can we not play the big, dumb elephant? Personally, I think maybe that slot should be Vendilion Cliques.

I playtested this some and felt like all i could pull is mana dorks with nowhere to sink all of that mana. One three playtests i was on turn 8 with nothing but mana dorks, lands and a counterspell or two. There's no reason to have 12 mana dorks in a deck where the curve tops out at 3cmc.

I would ditch the Lotus Cobras and one or more of your birds for some heavier beaters. Ideas: Thrun, the Last Troll, Sigarda, Host of Herons, Linvala, Keeper of Silence, Baneslayer Angel, Brimaz, King of Oreskos etc, etc..

Also, there is no reason not to have at least one copy of Gavony Township, especially when running Knight of the Reliquary.

Also, with 4x Tarmogoyf, you might consider running a planeswalker in the deck. I am a fan of Ajani, Caller of the Pride for his -3 ability. Especially with a massive Knight of the Reliquary. Could end games quickly. Although, Elspeth, Knight-Errant is probably better.

I think you should take out the knights and the Baneslayers. You should replace them with finks.

Aethro_the_Infinite, I like the idea, but those are the win conditions. Finks just don't have enough power to compete. But thanks, I'll test them.

Vendillion should be mainboarded, I think

And you should run more counters because combo is pretty big, or more hatebears, like Hushwing Gryff or Thalia

Celestial Colonnade as a one of, you can fetch it with Knight of the Reliquary, it'll help against control/board stalls.

Oh and Sylvan Caryatid/Kira, Great Glass-Spinner and Worship. Sylvan Caryatid is awesome at stalling RDW and hatebears.

Restoration Angel and Mystic Snake/Eternal Witness/Mangara of Corondor. Mystic Snake can replace Cryptic Command easily enough.

Collected Company and Eternal Witness? You have 24 creatures that work with the company.

These are all really powerful synergies I have found in Bant modern.

Femme_Fatale Kira, Great Glass-Spinner is something I've been thinking of! Thanks for the suggestions!

This list is sexy xD I really like Remand as a card but I feel it belongs more in tempo than midrange. Perhaps you could run 2 Spell Snare instead? Spell Snare is top in modern;)

I second Collected Company. I'd drop the 2x Elspeth, Knight-Errant and 2x Baneslayer Angel to add in 4x Collected Company. I think it would make the deck better and make it fit to your theme better.

I have kind of discontinued this deck, but I'm working on the successor, as well as Bantblade's. Check my profile in a couple of days, and I will take your suggestions into account. Thanks for commenting Saljen and Acid_Drop!
