This is a simple, but fun strategy to go wide with tokens that you keep cloning with populate mechanics. There's a lot of synergy, but no big combos to learn.

I've found through playtesting that the keys to success are to get your first token on the battlefield as quickly as you can, and to make sure not to miss an opportunity to snag a black mana source to get the lingering souls back from your graveyard.
