Meren reanimate deck focusing on large creatures, creatures that deal percentage of life total as damage, and effects that allow me to sacrifice creatures to deal damage (and sometimes gain life). The idea is to get Meren out quickly while filling the graveyard with sacrifices, discards, and graveyard tutoring. Focus on utility creatures first, Fiend Artisan, Fauna Shaman, and Elvish Piper. Use Elvish Piper and YardRecursion to cheat large Beaters onto the board. The main win con is to lower life totals with cards like Scourge of the Skyclave, Torgaar, Famine Incarnate, Raving Dead and Virtus the Veiled (LifePercent), ideally protecting yourself with Platinum Emperion. Swing with large creatures to finish opponents off or sac them with effects like Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord, Essence Harvest, and Dying Wish (BeaterBurn). I wanted to use custom categories to show each card's main purpose, but keep in mind many have multiple purposes. Cavalier of Night could also be a Beater, SacOutlet, or YardRecursion, Jarad's Orders is both CreatureTutor and YardTutor, and there are 5 MDFCs that are also Lands (37 Lands in total). Shaman of the Forgotten Ways (also Ramp) is not technically LifePercent but his Formidable ability will lower life totals in a similar fashion. This deck is a lot of fun and can win in surprising ways. The BeaterBurn's stacked with LifePercent creatures deal high damage. This deck is weak to fliers so keep your Whiptongue Hydra handy and recur it repeatedly if needed.
