Any suggestions guys?

I'm open to them...

I put the Dismembers in because I already have 2 and seeing as it is a good card in Infect I might as well throw them into the mix. The Wild Defiance combo seems overpowered, although it does slow the deck down. Maybe sub those two out if proven too expensive in playtesting for some Necropedes?

It's really simple, +1 to the idea. but +2 Rancor will make it harder to deal with.

Antonio_Borges: What do you suggest that I get rid of? The extra Rancors would help, but all of the cards seem necessary except perhaps Wild Defiance, which is really just to seal the deal in the "late game", which with this deck is T4. Its mana cost is somewhat restrictive for something without an instant effect...

Wild Defiance is good but can be emptied for it, I would try it

What do you guys recommend that I should do to change the deck?

have you considered splashing blue for Blighted Agent in place of Blight Mamba? or maybe Distortion Strike and Artful Dodge?

sorry for the double post, but also Livewire Lash has saved my bacon many many times because it can be used as targeted removal even if you opponent is trying to kill your creature lol

About the splash of blue: Although with a deck that had a budget with room for fetches, shocklands, or even painlands I would do that in an instant, in this deck, which has a landbase of 20 forests, there is no room for those.

About Livewire Lash, it's an interesting prospect (perhaps in place of Wild Defiance) but I'm unsure.

I understand the issue with cash...its always a pain in the ass lol....I personally tried the Wild Defiance and for my purpose it made more sense to me to use Livewire Lash. It fits with my play style to wait for the opponent to make the first move then capitalize on that offense lol! Livewire does that well by allowing for basically a free spell if your opponent tries to kill your creature. But I do realize that for a modern deck that relies on speed to win may not want to wait the extra turn to use it.

Any other suggestions? What do you guys think of Livewire Lash vs. Wild Defiance?

I would suggest that you play test each variant a few times to see which works better for you. Keep the majority of your deck the same, just switch the Wild Defiance and Livewire Lash each time

What about all of the other colorless infect creatures?Necropede Plague Myr Also, is there any reason in particular you are geared towards mono green? Splashing some black could open up a lot of options. What about Phyrexian Swarmlord ?

What about blight widow for anti-flier as well

October 1, 2015 11:23 p.m.

Jarzr says... #14

This is trying to be a very fast, budget deck, so something like Phyrexian Swarmlord is off the table. I only need so many Infect creatures, and Necropede and Plague Myr are slower than what I have. blight widow is also too expensive. Blue is the only color I would consider splashing, as it gives me Blighted Agent, and Distortion Strike, among other things. Any other thoughts?

I would definitely agree to splashing blue for the Blighted Agent My main concern with the creatures is that on average you will have 1 creature per 6 cards. If this meets one removal spell, then you're kinda boned. I understand completely that necropede and plague myr are slow but it's better than 0 creatures on the board. Also I would strongly consider black again, Plague Stinger Phyrexian Crusader

This deck is based on T2 or T3 wins, so removal isn't such an issue. I have Apostle's Blessing and Vines of Vastwood, which can protect against it if I have any extra mana. Again, having black or blue would make the mana base more awkward, not to mention more expensive, which is going in the wrong direction for this deck.

I loved infect when I ran it. I would move Dismember to side board, game 1 is 100% speed, 2 and 3 your opponent brings removal and bodies to catch up so its okay then. I would still run 1 Wild Defiance main and 2 in side.

Also if they bring bodies don't forget Livewire Lash's text wording. It causes the creature to do the damage, so the damage is infect also. Great way to finish games once they clog the board, or just make all your pump spells increase by 2.

I found Prey Upon to be be a super sweet card for mono green. Cast turn 2 for a turn 3 kill/ two lash triggers or defiance. Just a good card. See if any of that helps!

Thank you and please +1! Anyone else have good advice?

You said based on t2 wins? I only see turn 3 wins. And I only see those if you're uncontested.

Nevermind, I see double groundswell and mutagenic. Onto listener elf.

t2 is most certainly rare, but possible. t3 is what we want, but t4 isn't bad.

You should add more evasion right now, 1/1's will ruin your day.

Jarzr says... #23

I have Apostle's Blessing and Rancor to deal with pesky 1/1s. Also, Livewire Lash can serve as removal.

I'm sorry I linked prey upon instead of Prey's Vengeance, that might make more sense now lol

October 10, 2015 1:59 p.m.

Jarzr says... #25

Ah yes that does make more sense. Prey Upon wouldn't be useless, but Prey's Vengeance would certainly fit in more with the theme of the deck.
