I assembled this deck from the Reap the Tides Commander Legends Precon. I had always wanted to build a deck built around Krakens, and card: Aesi, Tyrant of Gyre Straits seemed like the perfect commander to do that with.

The deck runs land heavy, in order to ensure we always have lands to play and cards to draw of Aesi, as well as cards like Azusa, Lost but Seeking , and the sweet alt-art Exploration which allow for even more landfall. It also includes the classics like Rampant Growth , and Cultivate which are also card draw engines in the deck, and fetch lands like Fabled Passage which do double duty on landfall.

The payoff in this deck isn't fantastic, because sea creatures have never been too powerful, but cards like Slinn Voda, the Rising Deep , card: Stormtide Leviathan + card: Carpet of Flowers, and card: Serpent of the Endless Sea + card: Carpet of Flowers, are pretty punishing, and shouldn't be as late game as they would normally be in a deck without this much ramp.

Overall, I'm pretty happy with the deck, but am open to suggestions on how to make it more dangerous. I'd like to avoid equipment, (I know Blackblade Reforged would be insanely powerful, but I just wouldn't feel good equipping it to a fish without arms), and stay on theme, but other than that let me know.
