I first came up with the concept during Zendikar (my first set) for Standard out of a refusal to build yet another one of those 4x Jace, the Mind Sculptor I win decks that everybody was running at the time.

When my mentor first taught me how to play magic, he began by showing me how tribal decks work. Thus, when it came time to play my first Gran Prix in Portland I decided to go with a Nissa Revane tribal Elf deck with some Eldrazi splashed in. (The 2x Beast Within, the 1x Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx and the 2x Ezuri, Renegade Leader were added later.

JAIME JONES WAS SLIGHTLY IRKED WHEN I ASKED HIM TO "DRAW A SEXY NISSA" ON MY PLAYMAT (apparently, a very popular request), BUT ITS OK CUZ I PLAN ON ASKING JOHN AVON TO "DRAW A SEXY FOREST" AROUND HER.

I would prefer if possible that any suggested changes don't hurt the existing combos/synergies. These are:

Eldrazi Monument + Nissa Revane + Nissa's Chosen Since Nissa Revane can search for Nissa's Chosen and Nissa's Chosen can, in turn go to the bottom of the library if destroyed, Nissa's Chosen becomes a great sac outlet for the upkeep of the Eldrazi Monument.

Emrakul, the Aeons Torn + Fauna Shaman or alternatively Fauna Shaman + Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre Depending on how well the mana ramping has been going you can use the Fauna Shaman to tutor for whichever Eldrazi carries the appropriate mana cost.
