I'm relatively new to MTG and, up until recently, have only played standard. I am trying my hand at EDH and welcome any suggestions. Most of my collection is from M14/RtR and on... so my options are limited when putting these monster decks together.

My very first EDH deck is R/G Aggro, running Xenagos, God of Revels as commander. It was just a quick idea I had and threw together so I could play EDH with some friends who wanted to try the format. The deck worked better than expected so I kept working with it.

I came across Animar, Soul of Elements and immediately saw the possibilities of making him my commander and adding another color to the R/G deck. I didn't even have the deck dismantled before it evolved into something completely different. I promised myself I wouldn't make more than one EDH deck, but... eventually... I broke down and built this from the ground up and now I have two complete EDH decks... man this shit is addicting.
