Alesha and Brutal Hordecheif synergies... Brutal Hordechief I drafted last week - 30 July - and it won me the draft, against the guy who passed it to me. Now I want to do Mardu with them and other 2 or less CMC types. I imagine I'll need draw, as RWB doesn't draw the bst - GU tends to have that.

Basic idea behind the deck is that Mardu likes to attack, warriors like to attack. Alesha, Who Smiles at Death likes to attack trigger on creatures power 2 or less, so I'm putting creatures power 2 or less almost exclusively in this deck.

But, I had an awesome experience in draft with Brutal Hordechief winning me the draft in the final round, the final two games. Terrific in getting to force defenders into attacking the way I want. (Now that I'm thinking of it, I need more first strike / death touch). The surprise factor of life gain and life loss on attack is huge. Fun times.

Like all decks with asymetry winning stills, this one wants to do that as well. Fell the Mighty and Citywide Bust pick on large creature dependent decks. Retribution of the Meek is another one for making large creature decks pay. Blood in the snow can return almost all of my creatures with CMC. Settle the Wreckage for when someone is planning an alpha strike against me.

Mostly tribal, with a few utility and flavor exceptions. Elenda, the Dusk Rose flavor. Probably not ever going to do much work, but I figure my small creatures are going to see a pretty high death rate, she'll grow to be a force to be reckoned with. Drana, Liberator of Malakir - she's been my ally since Lantern Scout life-gained me to some fairly good limited wins at the local store. I love her first strike and adding a +1/+1 to each attacking creature I control. Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose - just because he does a bunch of life-gain and gives my opponents life-loss. Oh, and the ever present fetch and draw Solemn Simalcrum commander staple.

Pretty straightfoward, some card draw from Raiders' Spoils. Some evasion through flying and things like Cover of Darkness. Warriors own the night...

Card Draw / Graveyard filling for Alesha. Burakos, Party Leader, more treasure token creation, helps with the manas... Entomb Icon of Ancestry Mindblade Render - almost a Raider's Spoils on a stick. Sad Robot, Species Specialist, Swashbuckler Extraordinaire, Unmarked Grave, Vanquisher's Banner all work to fill my hand or fill my graveyard. Halo Fountain and Elspeth Resplendent were lucky draws who seem to help with getting cards in hand or maybe a sneak win.
