Maybeboard

Five-color tribal deck focusing on using a bunch of the color-specific Lords (mainly from the Shadowmoor block) to boost the five-color creatures into giant lethal fatties. I brewed a deck with this premise a while back, but it was pretty much a hot mess with little-to-no interaction and really poor mana fixing and card draw, so I never ended up actually building it in paper. Hopefully this one is better.

Most of the Rainbow creatures are also Legendary, so I can use any of them as the Commander interchangeably depending on my mood that game (I’m partial to Atogatog, because he’s just so janky and no one will expect him as a commander, but sometimes a 10/10 Pro-everything Commander just seems so shiny!).

I threw in some type-change stuff like Conspiracy to make use of the Rainbow creatures that care about types (like Atogatog, Horde of Notions, the slivers, etc). I can just choose whichever type I have out on the board/in my hand when I draw the type-change cards.

Super janky, mostly just for funsies. I’m expecting it to be something of a glass cannon: if it works right, it’ll punch hard, but it’ll be pretty susceptible to interference and removal.

Maybeboard: I plan on replacing Sliver Hivelord with Sliver Legion once I playtest a bit and work out the kinks (and decide if I even like the deck enough to spend that much on a single card for it). If I do that, I’ll probably end up keeping Hivelord as a sideboard option when playing against decks that really like to blow stuff up.

Brightflame would be a great pseudo-boardwipe and/or mass lifegain; just paying 1-2 into X and targeting one of my own Rainbow dudes, and suddenly I’m hitting every colored creature on the field, which’ll kill any small dudes (while all but a couple of mine would survive), and at the very least gain me 1-2 life for each creature on the field. Imagine playing against a token deck and wiping out all of them and gaining twice the life for everything! I’m not sure what to take out for it, though, so it’s a tough one.

I also keep toying with putting Ramos in the 99, just because he’d take advantage of all the multicolored spells so nicely and then turn around and provide double-rainbow-mana, which can help cast a lot of my stuff easily (especially Progenitus). Problem is, he himself isn’t a five-colored creature so he won’t be getting any of the buffs, which is kind of the point of the deck, and I’m not sure what I’d take out for him (I had a hell of a time narrowing it down to 100 as it is!). I’ll have to playtest for a while and see what I find I like in the deck and what I always find myself disappointed with drawing.
