This is a Mono Black Pauper Deck focused on early game aggro with midgame drain from Gray Merchant of Asphodel. The 12 one-drops in the deck almost guarantee early turn plays that push for the opponents life-points, and this is followed up by card draw from Sign in Blood and Phyrexian Rager. After hitting 5 mana, playing a merchant can easily drain for 4+ life even if your opponent has destroyed some of your early creatures. The deck finishes the opponent with either a big late-game drain from merchant or constant Intimidate attacks from creatures.
