Maybeboard

So this is what I played at my Tuesday FNM. It was weird and awesome. I've been playing around with Simic for a while and I love where this brew is at. Yavimaya Coast lets me play Courser of Kruphix and Dissolve :3. I haven't been able to to that yet with the old mana base.

Card Options:

Simic Charm- Playset in the main deck for several reasons:-It is a counter spell to removal for UG.-It is a pump spell to get through coursers, and blood barons. -It is a tempo play to remove a blocker like Boros Reckoner.

Elvish Mystic-sort of replaceable game two. It comes out against bigger ceature decks and it swappable for more counter spells in the board.

AEtherling-I want to add a second, I didn't see it once, well I did but Mono black took it with Thoughtseize.

Wall of Mulch-This could be a consideration with the Red decks playing Goblin Rabblemaster. I haven't played against it in the local meta, but that deck is very scary for a slower deck like mine. But, Courser of Kruphix seems like the answer so maybe I'm over thinking it.

Sideboard:

Nylea's Disciple -I didn't play against any super aggressive decks that day. It's still solid and I may add another.

Bow of Nylea-Also good against red and big green decks, I might take it out.

Nylea, God of the Hunt-I'm not sure what match ups she is good in but when she is online, its almost game over.

FNM Games

R1: Played against BW mid-range with Blood Baron of Vizkopas and Obzedat, Ghost Councils. I countered some of the important cards and overloaded Cyclonic Rift both games for the win.

R2: Played against another BW midrange deck, but with this one had more low costed creatures like Precinct Captain. It ran the Gideon, Champion of Justice and Ajani, Caller of the Pride combo and Elspeth, Sun's Champion. I won game one with Kraken Tokens. Lost game two due to some bad blocks and Brave the Elements. Game three kept an iffy one lander due to time, we had about 8 min left. I missed two land drops. Then hit and hit and hit and was able to overload a Cyclonic Rift with help from Arbor Colossus + Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx after he had committed a ton of permanents to the board and squeaked out a victory, I was under five health. Pretty epic set of games.

R3: Mono black devotion. I misplayed a couple times and it cost me both games. I didn't counter the correct spells and threw away my Arbor Colossus to block a Desecration Demon and he played another right after. I should have waited to play Kiora, the Crashing Wave untill later, I played her on turn three, used her +1 on his Mutavaul and she ate a Hero's Downfall. I had counter spells to back her up as well, so lesson learned there.

R4: Won 2-0 against a Boros aggro deck, with lots of Minotaurs. Broros Reckoner is still a pain for green creatures/decks to handle, but my bounce spells helped there. A big ol' Polukranos, World Eater won me both games.
