This deck is designed to hold an opponent at bay while drawing cards to buff yourself and ruin your opponent's day.

This is accomplished via control based instants and Disciple of the Ring to maintain a clear battlefield for the Chasm Skulker , who stands to grow pretty big as the game progresses. All the while, the real star of the show, Sphinx's Tutelage , should be constantly burning the opponent, with the help of Talent of the Telepath .

Additionally, Stormtide Leviathan serves as a big finisher, especially if a big Chasm Skulker has given you a horde of islandwalk tokens. Thousand Winds also serves as a solid board clear late-game.
