Trying to make Almost-budget, boardsweeper-proof enchantment creatures deck with Eerie Interlude. This decks' original idea came from
this deck.
It's quite standard, enchantment creature -focused deck; get centaurs(
Herald of the Pantheon
) out, cast cards for almost free, Fill the board with
Sigil of the Empty Throne and echantment creatures from
Starfield of Nyx. Then finish the game with alpha strike or just by chipping on opponent's life total. Where this deck is different from the most is the inclusion of
Eerie Interlude and
Demonic Pact.
Eerie Interlude is on playtesting as a boardsweep preventer for my creatures (enchantments; I'll just get more tokens in). When the Starfield's second ability kicks in, sweeps can destroy my game.
By running Demonic Pact, I have tons of draw and discard. Then Starfield of Nyx makes every other enchantment creature, and I can make the Pact kill itself with the 3rd option before 4th option triggers. Afterwards the starfield just fetches the Pact back and all the sweet modes can be chosen again.
To be failsafe, this deck contains also other answers to this problem, namely
Suspension Field
, Vampiric Rites and Eerie Interlude. These however require the pact to be creature, which is why I have several copies of Oblivion Ring on the sideboard(testing as we in my playgroup like to play without sideboards).
Elemental Bond and
Eidolon of Blossoms
are for extra draw. Sometimes though they are just too much (Elemental Bond
+
Sigil of the Empty Throne
or Eerie Interlude
+
Eidolon of Blossoms
), and in those situations Vampiric Rites helps.
Retreat to Emeria
and
Retreat to Kazandu
are there for early game sustain. 1/1 tokens and heals to get through hard start to get centaurs, angels and demons rolling.
If you have suggestions for this deck, please leave a comment. I'm particularly looking for more ways to reliably keep my board safe from things like
Divine Verdict
or Paraselene.
Ps. Sideboard = Maybeboard.
