Maybeboard

So I tried to build a deck that is seriously low to ground. Ive been watching my play group play broken arse blue cantrips like Ponder and Frantic Search and wanted to cram everyone of them into a deck. Playing Ponder turn 1, into Serum Visions and Faithless Looting turn 2 is really quite the thing. You already feel like you've won. Innitially I didn't consider building a storm style deck but that's pretty much how it turned out after playing it. It is very all in form the word go and is pretty fragile. Having said that getting to turn 8 in EDH, which isn't that hard, you have a good chance of just pulling out a win then and there.

A lot of the obvious combos are in there, like Ashnod's Altar + Skullclamp and Breath of Fury + Coastal Piracy . Both of these are hard lock wins assuming no one has a relevent answer.

However I think the real all stars of the deck are Mindmoil and Arjun, the Shifting Flame. If either of these hit the board with a handful of cards then its GG kids. The low to the ground cmc and abudence of wheel effects means you will just hammer the board with locusts. Both however do run the risk of fizzling, so having Ashnod's Altar out makes you far less likely to fizzle. Especially because there are a good number of colourless spells like Throne of the God-Pharaoh, if you don't get a wheel, drop the alter and wheel again. If you do get a wheel, then well, you're winning.

I have found that just popping of wheels without much support isn't great. Especially becuase most of these spells are windfall effects, so you in effect go down your overall amount of cards in hand each time you use one. Yeah you're getting 4 or 5 locusts, but in EDH thats not much value. For this reason you do really need to take a turn or two out after playing the locus god to work on building your hand size with cards like Pull from Tomorrow, Blue Sun's Zenith, and Day's Undoing.

Obviously this isn't an actaul storm deck but it may as well be, one where you always have the storm card available to play, even if it is 6 cmc.

Currently trying to hone the deck towards going full blow out ASAP, but without dropping fat stacks on mana rocks and fancy lands. And yeah, Wheel of Fortune, I'm happy for you to buy it for me but I ain't paying for it.

Please help hive mind, I need to crush kids with 1/1 flyers.
