Nissa, Worldwaker is nice but something about her makes me nervous about losing land to cast Garruk, Apex Predator!. I will look at it though. And a friend also suggested Dissolve over Negate so I will make that change. What would you remove for Nissa, Worldwaker ?

I was also considering including The Chain Veil to really get the most from Superfriends.

I actually had the discussion with my friend and we both came to the conclusion that Nissa, Worldwaker doesn't really belong in bug she belongs more in mono green

Thanks very much for confirming that for me. I also spoke to a friend who's a judge and they confirmed that too. Although I do like the spoiled Teferi for changing that!

If you have any other tips for the deck would be happy to hear them. If you like the deck could you also give it a rate please? Thanks for the comment!

You might want to take out 2x temples and replace them with 2x Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth . That way when you tap Mana Confluence or your Llanowar Wastes for black it doesn't ping you and your Yavimaya Coast andTemple of Mystery can be tapped for 3 colors.

First playtesting completed against a strong Abzan build and a nasty little Naya brew.

The Abzan deck was dealt with reasonably well. Multiple threats was okay to deal with, however Fleecemane Lion could prove to be a valuable card in these colours. Also Abzan Charm went on to prove just how good charms are, a misplay later and a lesson learned.

Did not get round to sideboarding but I think 2x Clever Impersonator , 2xReaper of the Wilds and 1xSoul of New Phyrexia are the cards of choice for 1x Drown in Sorrow , 1x Liliana Vess , 2x Garruk, Apex Predator and 1x Sultai Charm

The Naya deck was a nice powerful midrange effort. A turn 4 Elspeth, Sun's Champion is never going to be fun to deal with. Unfortunately I had a Dissolve in hand but had tapped out to play a Courser of Kruphix . Managed to keep a lid on things despite the Elspeth emblem being generated. AEtherspouts dealt with attacking tokens and made it much further than expected. But does pose an interesting question, facing a Sylvan Caryatid and a morphed Rattleclaw Mystic on turn 3 do you play a card to keep your own game going or do you hold mana up for a counter spell. If you have Hero's Downfall in hand it is a little easier to decide but with Dissolve in hand I think you have to risk keeping things slow rolling.

I did sideboard early as I had some good ideas about a creature heavy deck given the small nature of the tokens and morph/Rattleclaw Mystic I brought in the 2x Drown in Sorrow and 2x AEtherspouts . I would also consider 2x Clever Impersonator . I removed 4 cards and now cannot for the life of me remember what they were.

REMEMBER A PAD NEXT TIME!

Some more play testing completed (Not much though)

The same Abzan deck again causes problems with Fleecemane Lion so need to consider what sideboarding should take place.

The Naya deck has become a Temur deck. This was much harder to deal with as it became consistent at producing Xenagos, The Reveler and churning out tokens. Sideboarding for Bile Blight and Drown in Sorrow did help with this however the other threats are also incredibly difficult to deal with. Some more testing and practice is needed but any tips I would really appreciate!!

Todays playtesting resulted in testing against a mirror match of sorts. A more creature heavy deck with less removal and no planeswalkers. The match went very well the only real problem being the possibility of a Hornet Queen resolving. Even with this the deck faired quite well. Post changed by opponent (bringing it more into line with my own removal and planeswalker arrangement) it became more difficult. Ensuring removal for the said queen was needed as well as a way to remove multiple attackers as had become the case due to the lose of my own removal. I also made a change to sideboard of - 1x Prophet of Kruphix for +1x Villainous Wealth . This did resolve in game but hit nothing but land. However I could have comfortably held it for a little longer and used it for a larger hit, a very unfortunate situation but something that will not put me off using this as a sideboard card against very creature heavy decks.

A little more playtesting. Mono blue aggro (post rotation) Not a bad update to the mono blue theme but certainly a backwards step for the deck. However did prove to provide little problem when the right cards got into hand. Main problem was if a mass removal spell (after sideboarding for the extra Drown in Sorrow , Bile Blight and AEtherspouts ) wasn't in hand then a Sylvan Caryatid into Courser of Kruphix was needed to provide the required blockers. The planeswalkers did help create a threat that had to be prioritised over my own life total and this usually allowed me to draw an answer but if there is a slightly off hand with spot removal rather than mass removal it was much more difficult.

Death Frenzy has been suggested to me instead of the AEtherspouts which for aggro decks is fine but anything mid range that can ramp into big things (heres looking at you Temur) I think AEtherspouts is the better option.

I am also considering 2 Nissa, Worldwaker As either a change for a Garruk, Apex Predator and a Kiora, the Crashing Wave or as a possible sideboard option. (It sounds so silly considering Nissa a sideboard but her Ultimate doesn't do anything but the 4/4 guys are possibly required)

It's looking like you really have to wait for at least turn four for this deck to go off.

Hi Chad thanks for the comment. This is a control style deck so does focus on the mid to late game. The sideboard options are to help regain control from fast starts by removal of lots of small things.

Today's playtesting resulted in playing against a Jeskai control deck. This match up did not end well. With various problems as well as struggling to get a foothold in the game. A more direct method of killing the opponent was difficult to deal with and a bad match up for my control against my opponent. Sideboarding didn't help so I may rethink my options and what to sideboard.

I was thinking elvish mystics instead of sylvan. Easier to get on the board

The problem with Elvish Mystic is they are too small. The Sylvan Caryatid 's can be active blockers for the planeswalkers and for a large part of the game particularly given they have hexproof too, the only way to remove them is sac effects or board wipes. The Caryatid's also allow me to go outside of green with ramp so getting the double costed spells played is important. Dissolve Hero's Downfall and Courser of Kruphix are all much more reliably cast with Sylvan Caryatid included but the Elvish Mystic doesn't include any of these upsides so given how tight I am on alternative cards it doesn't make the grade.
