UW azorius delver, Want to test more and appreciate any feedback.
General Idea:
Utilize delver and pteramander with curious obsession to provide substantial threat and keep a card advantage. This isn't a fast deck, as you will likely be killing your opponent on turn 6-8 rather than 4-5, but it has lots of defensives to compensate and functions as a combination of control and aggro
Vs aggro = Between 4 paths and 2 snags the deck should be able to keep ahead of other aggro decks, if you see thalia nuke it immediately
Spell queller, snapcaster, mizzium skin and deprive are great defensives for your creatures and yourself
Archmages charm = is a great all around spell once you hit 3 mana, able to defend against aggro, protect your creatures and draw if your in a grind out
Deprive = Combo's with mystic sanctuary to lock people in late game if you grind their hand down, if you keep card advantage with your other tools and get the combo you can usually force a gg if you need to late game
Opt/Serum visions = For consistency and instant sorc fuel, I like 4 opt because having things on instant speed is nice early on, serum on 2 for delver, I think 6 is sufficient but could be wrong, appreciate feedback
Silence = I have tested this spell a little, and I love it, but at the same time I am not sure if this spell is ideal due to it not being very useful against decks with heavy instant removal (which leaves you with only your 2 mizzium skins and 2 deprives until turn 3, and curious obsession after turn 1 delver or pteramander usually sets the early threat for the game), I would like feedback on this as I am not sure if I should keep it for delaying sorcs like thoughtseize and just get slapped by certain control decks game 1 or replace it with spell pierce, mana leak or another cheap counter/defensive.
Sideboard = control - swap path with pierce
tron/storm - slap in that damping sphere
tribal - settle the wreckage and spyglass for vial, replace mizzium and 1-2 silence
Grave hate and leyline - as you see fit
Budget disclaimer = minus force of negation ( I would like to put it in but dont know where) this is what I think the deck would ideally be, for a more budget version take out snapcaster/Spell queller and replace it with 1 more Pteramander and anything from the maybeboard for additional disruption or more survivability/tempo. Archmages charm can be replaced with a smaller counterspell like render silent if you are on the budget train.
