This deck makes me very happy. Bears. Tribal. +1.

It deserves a round of appaws.... That was a stretch.

You might find this interesting; my bear tribal deck:

Ursus magister

Could use maybe 2 or 3 Craters Claws, 4 titanic growths for even more pumping. Sylvan cary's and courser's tend to be staples for all decks featuring green.Somewhat tedious, perhaps, but the outcome is steady.2 become immenses are suprisingly easy to use, as with awaken the bears and titanic growths being used you'll have a couple cards in your graveyard to exile. Also with sylvan caryatid, elvish mystic alone your ramp should make up the cost easy. With more ramp you could reduce your lands (especially green) Just my opinion, but the paragon of eternal wilds seems a bit slow.I'd reduce your hall of triumphs and paragons to 2 ofs of each, to include some other stuff.Just my thoughts on things, the crater's claws seem to fit your beary nice theme and could do some good damage.Titanic growth gives a nice pump on top of the runeclaw or alpine's really nicely. The mana base needs some temples, but those are pricey as well as the cary's and i assume this is made on a budget.

Hope my thoughts didn't irk you in anyway seeing as this deck seems fairly knit together and tight. And it's really cool because bears are awesome. :)

Quickling to bounce Bear's Companion? or possibly Retraction Helix on Bear's Companion to bounce itself?

November 15, 2014 11:08 a.m.

Like Abnormalsynergy mentioned already i would reduce the number of Hall of Triumph and Paragon of Eternal Wilds , maybe add a few Heir of the Wilds ?

Surrak Dragonclaw may seem just as anti-bear as Savage Punch but Bears are super important to him and his clan, may be worth a 1 of :) also Bearer of the Heavens may be a good punny one!

One of my fave things to do is build decks for friends, family, and my girlfriend, I support the psuedo-vorthos tribal...thing that we do for them, keep up the good work!

I see what you did there... LOL .. This is pretty fast and lots of fun to play. Its also real easy on the pocket.

Caveman's idea of heir of the wilds is good, a 2 for 2/2 with deathtouch AND ferocious has potential. The only downside is the +1 ability is not permanent and only until end of turn, and therefore is not stackable. But the deathtouch ability is where this card shines, not in its ferocious. It's also a 2 mana cost the same cost as titanic growth, so you can play this card and titanic growth it on the next turn. the fact its deathtouch will likely entice people to take the damage instead of trading, which gives you the chance to pump it for a surprise. Ideally, though, you'd want to cast awaken the bears on it because if they do decide to trade the creature since it's a 2/2 with a chump blocker, you could get trample. Most people ignore 2/2 attackers though and simply soak the damage, when creatures are about 4 is when people begin to block them more often. It's a mental thing..

Savage Punch maybe? =)

I like Crater's Claws, because sometimes you can make a four power dude ... den ... use shock mode with 1 extra mana. O_o

With the lack of card draw/mass removal/haste in the deck, I would say it looks pretty hard to ... claw... your way back into a game once you're behind. O_O

I think one more pun is all I'll be able to bear. 8-l

All in all though, I also would hate to play against this deck, it looks pretty... grizzly. @_@

Also, putting 2 twin flames into the main board may not be a bad idea either. You pay attention to the strive mechanic and you debate well "can i really cast this on multiple creatures..." but you don't need to! Placing it upon the tokens your bear companion makes allows you to be swinging for 8 damage immediately, if you have enough mana with green you can then pump one or even both depending on your mana board state to be swinging for 16 damage at the cost of 6 mana total. It's a great mid-late game idea to really bring in the damage. At the least you'd be swinging for 8, 16 with 2 titanic growths. So when you reduce your hall of triumphs, bring in even 2 of those.

I don't think you should run 4 Hall of Triumph because it is legendary. I would suggest an underrated card called Roar of Challenge.

I love how this is becoming more and more competitive tweaked with every change.I think twinflames in the main for a big finisher will make you complete, and then have a sideboard tech to deal with your local meta.

You don't have to do a lot to make this competitive though.. Obelisk of the Urd is a thing.
