Sideboard

I've always had a playset of both Inquisition of Kozilek, Thoughtseize, and Go for the Throat lying around since I got rid of a W/B tokens deck so what better to do than create what everyone thinks of making once in their mtg "career": mono black control.

REMOVAL:

Go for the Throat: good for anything, really, as long as that something isn't affinity or sundering titan.

Victim of Night: a strange one I know, but besides Bloodghast (which you can't truely kill in most cases save Leyline of the Void) and a few other creatures run in fringe decks it hits most things. (Who really plays Huntmaster anymore, right?)

Smother:ahhh, one of my personal favorites. Hits all those pesky gofys, delvers, nactls, etc. Only bad against tron and other large finisher creatures. But a very relevent thing is that it kills manlands! Woo!

Smallpox?: do I label this as removal? Utility? Tron hate? Who knows. It does its job.

CREATURES:

Vampire Nighthawk: an important little guy. Chumps and always trades up. deters attacks. Gives you back life that you'll lose to the draw engines in the deck. The all around hero of mono-black for modern!

Bloodghast: you know the drill. Annoying, continuous little beater. But if your gonna be playing the long game you might as well chip away at life any time you can.

Phyrexian Obliterator: back up finisher that no one wants to deal with. Path it or kill it straight up or its not gonna be pretty.

Korlash, Heir to Blackblade: he's the main finisher in the deck. He gets big and attacks and the regeneration makes him pretty hard to remove. The grandeur isn't even something I'm thinking about but maybe it'll happen once in a while.

DISTRUPTION/DRAW:

Inquisition of Kozilek: pretty straight forward as will be most of this section. Hits most of the things played In a modern deck. NO life loss is nice.

Thoughtseize: For everything else that inquisition doesn't hit (

Sign in Blood: not sure what to say here. Draws cards. Sometimes can kill your opponent if you're down to the wire.

Phyrexian Arena: really great card reprinted into modern. Solid if you don't wanna play Bob. Little slower than Bob but were playing control here not jund.

LANDS:

Swamps for Korlash of course.

Bojuka Bog: for dredge, gofy, whatever graveyard things you need to deal with.

Ghost Quarter: I don't like tron, I don't like manlands.

Sideboard:(I'll type this up sometime.)
