Everyone seems to be building an Atraxa, Praetors' Voice deck lately. Most of the lists I've seen are Stax, Superfriends, or just +1/+1 counters. I don't enjoy, nor does my playgroup take kindly to Stax. I already have a +1/+1 counters deck with Daghatar the Adamant . I've done superfriends before and it's fun, but the lines of play are so convoluted, even I was upset with how long my turns were taking. Instead, I wanted to pursue something new. Kaladesh came out with Energy counters, which can be proliferated, and several very interesting cards to take advantage of them. I've always wanted to make a deck that could take advantage of infect counters, so I threw those into the mix as well. There were some spaces left open, so I added some powerful +1/+1 counters options as well as some planeswalkers, but these are mostly value cards and not part of the main synergy of the deck, but they do help augment it. All things considered, I have a good foundation and as I begin to tinker with this very initial iteration of the deck, I'm sure I will see certain cards and focuses shifting in and out. Things that don't work will as well as I wanted will be replaced, and new cards will be added to improve upon aspects that do work.
