This is something like my fourth shot at making UW Delver work post-Seeker of the Way. The core idea here is that your creatures are all above the curve and can easily attack into developing boards - you ideally want to be starting each turn after the second casting a cantrip, and then swinging in with 3/3 lifelinks and 2/4 unblockables that threaten to become even larger with counterspell backup. The deck wants to get early advantages in mana and life that it can ride to victory.
A lot of the cards in the deck have the flexibility to be used both aggressively and defensively, so you want to be constantly thinking about what the matchup requires. Mutagenic and Emerge Unscathed can be used to force through damage, but they can also negate common red and black removal. Counterspells can slow down the opponent's development, but they can also block key removal spells like Journey to Nowhere or Chainer's Edict that threaten to slow your clock.
The sideboard is mostly teched against my local paper meta, which has a lot of Elves and UB. In particular, Gut Shot, Relic of Progenitus and Standard Bearer can and should be swapped out for other cards if you aren't concerned about those particular decks. A few good options might include Pristmatic Strands if you expect a lot of Stompy, Dispel for Delver and other control decks, Serrated Arrows for Delver and Tireless Tribe, Dust to Dust for Affinity (possibly too risky with only 2 plains), or the fourth Hydroblast if you anticipate a lot of Burn.
