Sideboard

A typical control deck running myth realized as a win condition.

Deck Matchups;

Aggro/Rush; This deck, like many other control decks seems to have a consistent problem with the likes of Mono-red rush. The constant spew of tiny beaters eventually adds up and by the time we have a chance to clear the board, our burn happy opponent is likely to have numerous red burn spells in hand. In my experience if you can get your opponent into top deck mode and get Myth Realized big enough to block with, you can stabilize and hopefully pull out a win.

Mid-Range; These decks are your prime match up. They constantly try to resolve big threats on each of their turns that munch up all of their mana and leave them open for a single counter spell a turn, which is great efficiency for us. They will eventually, hopefully, run out of gas. In which this time we drop Pearl Lake Ancient and hopefully have ulted Narset Transcendent and then it's an easy win from there.

Control; Now this match up is interesting. It's a game of give and take. If you let them resolve something, they might let you resolve something. They might not. In this match up Pear Lake Ancient will do all the work, however in this situation, unlike the mid-range match up, if you manage to ult Narset Transcendent then the game is over. The only thing your opponent can do is cast creature spells, and even then you can counter them and have zero repercussions.
