There was a group of eight of us at this MNM. I got 4th out of eight.
Round one: Grixis Twin 0-2. Game one was a good game. I managed to keep the board under control for the most part, but it became more difficult as the game progressed because I never got more than three mana, so he eventually won game one with the Twin Combo. I sideboarded in enchantment hate and hand disruption. However, I never saw those cards and I was killed turn four by the twin combo.
Round two: BG Tron 2-1. Game one was a good game as well. I had plenty of removal to exile two wurmcoil engines. I was able to win with Hero of Bladehold. I sideboarded out the Go for the Throat and put in Rest in Peace and Stony Silence. Game two went by quick (well as quick as Tron can go) and he killed me with Karn. I had no answers for it. I didn't change anything to my deck. Game three was very slow and we went passed the time. After a few boardwipes, he was at 7 life and I managed to have one Intangible Virtue out with three spirits. He tried to get enough mana for Damnation, but he just came up short.
Round three: Mono-black vamps 2-1. Game one was pretty close. I played Inquisition turn one and saw that he had three Gatekeeper of Malakir in his hand. He kicked it every time he played one which meant I didn't get to keep my creatures for very long. He then played Vampire Nighthawk and gain quite a bit of life. I didn't pull any answers to that, so he won game one. I sideboarded in Mirran Crusader only. Game two was close again, but I was able to play Intangible Virtue and Hero of Bladehold. Even with a few Gatekeepers, he couldn't hold them off. Game three was more in my favor. He was able to play Vampire Nocturnus, but he card on top was a swamp. I was able to kill it and him before a black card was on top of his library.
