Feather, The Redeemed: Boros spellslinger

This deck started from the idea of making a boros deck, which is generally considered to be the weakest color combination in commander, as competitive as possible. With the banning of Paradox Engine (R.I.P.), I had to get creative.

Mana fixing

One of the biggest problems Boros has, is the inability to fix your mana. This is a pretty big drawback in an extremely color intesive deck. This is why we run every piece of colored fast mana available to us.

card draw: the spellslinging way

Another thing Boros doesn't ordinarily do well is draw cards. However, dtrawing cards is this decks bread & butter. Every cantrip that targets a creature you control comes back to your hand. So a one mana "draw a card" spell can do this literally every turn. There are some spells that scry as well, in order to control your draws a little bit more.

Protecting your stuff

There are several protection spells like Cloudshift or Shelter which you can use to protect your creatures. And Veilstone Amulet is just insane.

Winning the game

You can win the game either with an infinite combo, with direct damage or combat damage. - Aria of Flame: The ten life really doesn't matter when you start casting 6-7 spells per turn. - Sentinel Tower: basically Aria of Flame but it resets every turn. - Monastery Mentor can get out of hand really fast and those tokens have prowess as well...
