Maybeboard


My first Jeskai Deck, trying to do mostly prowess things. Have thought about trying to make this deck mainly about extra combat steps but maybe another time. This deck is all centered around the commander Narset, Enlightened Exile. Mainly with cantrips in the early game and some combat tricks to make it more effective in getting damage in.

I feel as though I have enough cantrips Opt, Consider, Faithless Looting, Ponder, Brainstorm, and Serum Visions. They are cheap and help me dig for other answers. I have considered Izzet Charm all modes are pretty relevant but I am just unsure what I would want to cut. Or should it just be a Prismari Command? Crash Through; a combat trick at sorcery speed to help get damage in, but does draw a card. Past in Flames a card that will help in the late game especially if there has been a lot of board wipes.

Having a hard time deciding how many counterspells to have in the deck. They don't work too well with Arcane Bombardment but I do need some to help protect my commander. So I think that Fierce Guardianship, Counterspell, Deflecting Swat, Dovin's Veto, Narset's Reversal are all good to have since they are cheap and effective. The only one I am considering cutting is Dovin's Veto. The uncounterable aspect is nice but I am just unsure how relevant that is.

The creatures! I am trying to keep it mostly on theme with Jeskai monks with prowess but they definitly need some help. Dreadhorde Arcanist synergizes very well with Narset and being able to cast two spells if they both attack is incredibly powerful, Monastery Mentor produces tokens with prowess, which is too goo not to have, Monastery Swiftspear I am considering cutting for something better, Mistfire Adept; giving flying to a creature to help get damage in is great to have, Elsha of the Infinite great for the late game, Young Pyromancer is another token producer and with my commander on the field allows them to act like a normal Monastery Mentor, Mantis Rider great haste creature with evasion. Balmor, Battlemage Captain giving everything a buff and trample is ideal for this deck, and Third Path Iconoclast Another token producer but is better than Young Pyromancer since it triggers off all noncreature spells, Storm-Kiln Artist great creature to have once you start slinging spells since it provides you with some treasure to keep going, Veyran, Voice of Duality helping double all cast triggers from casting or copying instants/sorceries is perfect and synergizes with everything this deck is trying to do, Taigam, Ojutai Master protects our noncreature spells and is on flavor with Jeskai, Shu Yun, the Silent Tempest can give another creature double strike is great and it has prowess, and Khenra Spellspear   is just a new fun card and to give it 3 instances of prowess which sounds wild.

Any help with this deck would be appreciated!
