Sniper83 Not a fan of discarding a card at all. Sure, I have Snapcaster Mage , and Mana Leak might be a dead card, but I can just sideboard out what isn't good.

I need Tectonic Edge for the aggressive land destruction, and Desolate Lighthouse will be a dead card in maybe 2/3 matches? It just doesn't work for me. Amazing in midrange, or combo decks, just not in this list for me.

Syncopate was a standard staple for control, however, it's weak compared to other soft counters like Spell Pierce and Logic Knot, both of which don't work well in control.

Boros Charm does absolutely nothing in this deck. Sure, it's a burn spell, but it's only a burn spell, nothing more. Modes 2 ad 3 are completely useless.Jeskai Charm has the same problem as Boros Charm it's basically just a burn spell. I'd much rather have something flexible like Lightning Helix which can be a burn spell, removal, and gains us life.

I don't think that Jeskai Charm has any place in modern, because it's difficult to cast, requiring 3 different colours of mana, and it's a narrow card, surprisingly, except for a particular deck that has been made to fit it. I don't see it as a card to fit your deck around, because it's not that useful.

Yeah you're right then what about Searing Blood because it can be removal and damage to the face?

RabidCatigi Remember that this is a control deck, not a burn deck. Searing Blood is a narrow card, too, because it HAS to target a creature.

The name alone gets you +1 one here. Am not sure if the Mana cost is too high for you. But, two cards that would go along with this theme is Isolation Cell and Ward of Bones. I personally enjoy Ward of Bones. But, can find very few deck that able to run it well

How have the Revs been treating you and what is your metagame like?

bijschjdbcd Revelation has been doing really well against both the heavy blue in my meta, and the numerous aggro decks. Card advantage is good against everything, and the life can help me live the extra turn to draw a win condition.

Thanks. In old Standard I loved casting Rev, Hasn't impressed me as much in Post Khans Modern. My Meta is Combo, RDW, Delver and one 4 Colour Gifts. For lifegain I have resorted to Kor Firewalker sideboard. Maindeck Batterskull is bold, I find im bringing it in in almost every matchup thats not combo. Which makes me want to run it Main as well.

just in case someone gets a bunch of tokens or a similar situation i have found my control deck worked better with Detention Sphere maybe a sideboard of one will help you too. overall +1. i will reference this in the near future.

I have no problem with tokens, because Engineered Explosives is a hit-all card, in addition to 2 mainboard board wipes and 3 Electrolyze.

Updated modern banlist means no more Treasure Cruise or Dig Through Time

JexInfinite, so far I've seen people either run more copies of Serum Visions or Mutagenic Growth.

I think most people are stuck right now. One can only hope that maybe Dig gets unbanned.
