Javaz Thanks for the +1 my friend! I have two playsets of Rattlechains on preorder already for both this deck, and your budget deck. I REALLY like it in your deck..
It would be good in this deck as well, I just feel like I don't have enough nontoken creatures to get the most bang for my buck. Though, having a 2 drop that can protect a spirit would be nice. Ideally by turn 5 or 6 I'm sacking them all anyways to deal lethal!
DEFINITLEY trying it out in this deck though. I am loving SOI. All the spirits!

This set is like the heaven of every spirit deck. One thing that most people miss about Rattlechains, and that is the most important to me, is that it gives flash to other Spirits. Flashing a Drogskol Captain while you attack with some Spirit token is pretty brutal and unexpected. :D

rather, sub rattle for azorius, not the way I typed it haha.

Mm, both Azorius Herald and Will-o'-the-Wisp don't do much in this deck.. I'd give a try to Topplegeist. It's relevant from early to mid game, it's evasive, better than the wisp in my opinion. You could try 4 of them and 4 Rattlechains!

I mainly just like will o for the 1 drop, and a chump blocker early, with the chance to regen. PLUS if it gets buffed with any of my buffs it's a flyer.
Azorius was just because I had a playset, and the unblockable/life gain part is nice. Not to mention the removal it draws before they realize what my deck goal is haha.
Thanks for the tips! Gotta love cockatrice for reasons like this. I shall try it out tonight!

R3ruN it draws removal but it costs 3.. And the 3 drop slot in your curve is already occupied by Captain, Spectral procession and Lingering souls. So, IMO, Rattlechains should enter for Azorius Herald. Even more hate if it hits the field ;)
And unfortunately, Shared Triumph isn't modern legal.
Let me know the results of your playtests! :D

Javaz I replaced Azorius Herald with Rattlechains and it went splendid! I was definitley occupying too much of my 3 drop space up. Looks like I'll be putting him into my deck when SOI is released!
Vortexflame I've considered Adaptive Automaton but I feel like I almost have TOO much buffing with Captain, Ob and Intangible Virtue. I do love that card though! Thanks for the suggestion!

To get the most value out of Topplegeist's Delirium ability, you might want some instants such as Midnight Haunting or Kjeldoran War Cry.
April 6, 2016 9:52 p.m.
Maybe, I'm not really using it for the delirium ability. The one drop spirit is more important, plus he flies, plus it can tap once at least.
I'm not really sure what I'd replace.

Obelisk of Urd can be a bit slow. Running 3 of them might not be the best move.
April 7, 2016 7:55 p.m.
Vortexflame it's one of the cards I sideboard out first for game 2. The convoke cost with all the token generation usually takes care of the slowness though. Plus, I've won a few games with the hideaway using the obelisk!

Vortexflame Also, they never expect the Obelisk if it's a under my hideaway land, or when I drop a spectral procession and convoke the Ob in cheap.

Been play testing what I currently have as the main deck and side board. It's been mostly positive results! I've achieved victory in quite a few different ways, mainly aggro/buff, but the flash mechanic with Rattlechains, and getting Midnight Haunting going if I keep up mana, or flashing in captain after Rattle is out.. it's all great ways to win! I've also DG'd my fair share of opponents.
If all goes well, I tend to sideboard in more control as needed, and slow the game down a bit, or just continue the beat down if I think the opp can't handle it!
Thanks for all the help again!

Thanks for all the help with the Esper token deck I was working on. Now, I've converted to the BW tokens with the introduction of Bitterblossom back into modern!
Cheers!

Have you thought of adding Timely Reinforcements? It goes well with Windbrisk Heights
June 17, 2016 10:13 a.m.
Thesecrets139x I thought I had already had it on my maybeboard, but I definitely will add it. I like the card a lot, I just can't figure out what I'd take out.
If I decided to do it, I'd probably run a 3 of and get rid of the zealous percs and the murderous cut. My meta is creature heavy, the Timely Reinforcements could still help deal with it.
Thanks for the suggestion and the upvote! :D
Maybe I could sideboard it..

I ran a black white tokens for a while and i ran 1 Zealous Persecution and 3 Timely Reinforcements but i included one more persecution in my sideboard in case the reinforcements didnt do a lot.
Hope this helped

Brimaz, King of Oreskos is good, but it competes for the three drop slot with both Lingering Souls and Spectral Procession, and for this reason I would consider taking them out. Also, Windswept Heath is better than Bloodstained Mire because you need white more than black most of the time in this deck.

Also, I like Gideon, Ally of Zendikar more than Elspeth, but that's just me.

Rattlechains. Too much value for a spirit deck.
