Gideon main, no Flayers — July 8, 2017

Flayer has been underperforming. Without Nobles and crappy cards like Baubles, it's just too hard to punch him into the red zone and especially with Shadow being so popular. At the Invitational, Jeskai decks were starting to pop up. I may be wrong in assuming Gideon is good against them due to their tempo nature as opposed to previous Jeskai decks where GAoZ was definitely a beast. Either way, I've been constantly impressed by Gideon, but, if you're going to play him and no Flayers, hitting those land drops will require you to go up to 24 lands. I swapped 2 Flayers for Gideon and a second Heath in the main
