Slivers!

Legacy*

Arkavia

Sideboard

In play testing, I found this deck hellishly annoying to play against, mostly because it's so unpredictable. One game you may be facing a flying army led by Galerider Sliver, the next, you could be fighting 8/8 death-touchers with Muscle Sliver s, Sinew Slivers, and Venom Sliver. Thats why I tried to keep the deck diverse by only playing 1-2 of a lot Slivers. Your opponent will never know whats coming next!

That being said, some cards are so powerful that I needed to run 3-4 of them. Manaweft Sliver makes sure you're never at a shortage of mana, while Muscle Sliver , Predatory Sliver and Sinew Sliver provide a buff for all your creatures. Aether Vial is vital because it lets your play more Slivers per turn (always a good thing). These cards are the backbone of the deck, while the other cards just add flavor and variety.

This is an amazingly fun deck to play, and, as I said it's super annoying to play against. As far as i'm concerned, that's a double win for me. Incase your considering picking up this deck, heres a basic strategy that you should consider while playing with it:

Basic Strategy:

Early game:

Lands actually aren't that important in this deck. With cards like Manaweft Sliver and Aether Vial, all you really need to start out is 1 land, preferably a 5 color land like Gemstone Mine or Mana Confluence. From there, your going to want to get Manaweft Sliver or Aether Vial (mentioned above) out ASAP. You should be churning out creatures in no time.

Mid Game:

Beef up your army of slivers with Sinew Sliver, Muscle Sliver , and Predatory Sliver , which all give your Slivers a +1/+1 buff which will stack up fast. If you can get Aether Vial out, you can not only play more Slivers per turn, but also use a lot of handy combat tricks by playing Slivers on your opponent's turn. For instance: Play a Syphon Sliver after blocking a major attacker to take one of your opponent's creatures out. The possibilities are endless.

Late Game:

Just sit it out. Keep on churning out slivers until your opponent is eventually overwhelmed.
