Darcis, this is one of the best decks I've seen. I love, excuse me, FUCKING love how dick-ish it is. I have to build this deck, it is my duty as a control asshole.

I am hesitating whether this is or not the best MTG deck ever made.

White Sun's Zenith will serve as a win-con and a way to keep you from decking out

Also more Flooded Strand Is worth it. Your mentioned reason has merits, but more Strands means you can thin your deck of lands potentially leaving only 4 land in your deck if it gets to that point. Also potential Delve fodder if you choose to add either Dig Through Time or Treasure Cruise.

If you want your friends to hate you more take out celestial colonnade and add in elixir of immortality as your win con so you just activate it so they just deck themselves.
December 24, 2014 10:23 p.m.
scout1101 I already have Elixir, I just use Colonnade as a blocker, never to actually attack them. The way I win is to deck them.

Well the Bridge would, presumably, be counterproductive? He's a control deck, so you would tend to keep cards in hand. Besides, with all the board wipes and spot removal, you don't really need the added measures.

For those who don't understand, this is essentially an 107 turn mill deck. Assuming your opponent is playing 60 cards of course :3

And if your opponent is playing Emrakul, the Aeons Torn?

Control the Hell out of them until they have no mana to cast their spells. And then resort to the worst, most disgusting thing I've ever had to do... attack with Colonnade.

Also what is the purpose of Sundial of the Infinite?
January 7, 2015 12:54 a.m.
Venser/Detention Sphere combo. Yeah, it's stupid, but it's what this deck started as and I like it. It also does at least discourage doing things on my turn. My personal favorite thing I've ever used it for was when an opponent tried to fetch at the end of my turn.

Cute, But Shadow of Doubt is more versatile. The whole Detention Sphere + Disperse Combo might be something your Interested In.

Love it! Take a look at Repeal, CMC=1, regardless of the X value! Possibly, Tamiyo could be used here? Also, I might want 1 to 2 Temple of Enlightenment for the repeatable scrying with Venser if I was using this deck.
January 14, 2015 9:09 p.m.
justawhiteguy thanks for the suggestions! Unfortunately, even though Repeal has a converted cost of 1, on Isochron Sceptor I am forced to cast it for X=0, so it doesn't really have a place in the deck. I've experimented with Tamiyo and the Temples and don't really think they have synergy with what I need. I usually cast Venser well in to the game (usually turn 7-8) to prevent my opponent from going off while I'm tapped out, and Tamiyo's abilities are kind of "win more" at that point in the game. As for the Temples, the potential of my lands entering tapped on turns 1-4 is too much for me to really consider them.
January 14, 2015 10:53 p.m.
justawhiteguy - The converted mana cost of Repeal is 1, in your hand. X changes this while it is on the stack, adding the X-value and the blue pip, and, like Darcis said, will be equal to 0 in the Scepter. Since X is part of the mana cost, casting it without paying the mana cost means that you paid 2 mana to just draw a card.

Silence needs to be a 4-of. Since it's the "most important spell you can put under Isochron Scepter", you want to see it as much as possible. My recommendation:
-1 Quicken
+1 Silence
While it's nice to Quicken a Supreme Verdict, I don't know if it's really necessary as often as your deck is doing now. I may be wrong, as I am a Red player at heart and absolutely hate control. Deck's great, though. People scoop when I have them Silence-locked.

thuzra and Darcis Yeah, I overlooked that one. It has been too long since I played scepter. Muddle the Mixture comes to mind as a tutor. No cantrips on Celestial Flare, but it gets rid of hexproof, indestructible, and totem armor.
January 15, 2015 5:48 p.m.
What about Chalice of the Void even if you only use it to stop CMC 1 spells that shuts whole decks down (burn and GW Auras comes to mind).

I really want to play this at my LGS during the Modern tournament they have every week. I know it violates the spirit of your deck, but if you had to add a wincon due to time constraints what would you add? I am thinking Pearl Lake Ancient, but I am hoping there is something more interesting/fitting for this deck. I really love what you have done with the deck +1
January 20, 2015 3:08 a.m.
AlQahhir I would use AEtherling over Pearl Lake Ancient. The Elspeth in the sideboard is pretty reliable too.
