The aim of this deck is to create as many Ragavan tokens from Kari Zev, Skyship Raider's trigger.

Now on the face of this, it seems impossible. They go away at the end of turn! Simple: skip that with Sundial of the Infinite. Okay, first problem solved - but they're still legendary, you can only have one! Not with Mirror Gallery.

Now obviously the chances of naturally drawing these three cards are pretty slim, especially in mono-red. So, we have to go Grixis. I contemplated Naya (WRG) for the token doubling effects: Anointed Procession, Primal Vigor, Parallel Lives, etc., but you really need the tutoring that Blue and Black afford you.

So, that explains all the tutor effects that have been included. Also, no, I will not apologise for including the Maralen of the Mornsong and Stranglehold combo.

Next, once you've got your three pieces of the puzzle assembled, you're going to need some way of protecting Kari Zev. This is where all the Hexproof, Unblockable and Indestructible comes in.

After that, we need some artifact and creature recursion (just in case), some wheels to help us find our pieces if our tutors aren't working, and then extra combat steps! Why limit yourself to one monkey a turn? With any luck, your opponents will soon find themselves facing down an unstoppable army of monkeys.

Desolate Lighthouse - nice looting effect. Some might even call it a Loothouse.

Great Furnace, Seat of the Synod, Vault of Whispers - there to be sacrificed to effects like Reshape. They also, in a pinch, might help get Metalcraft for Molten Psyche.

Grenzo, Havoc Raiser - might as well get some benefits off all that attacking you're having to do, huh?

Hanweir Battlements, Hanweir Garrison - Battlements being run for the haste enabling of Kari Zev, at which point Garrison just makes sense. Also, very similar in design to Kari, so can often double up any benefits she's getting.

Hero's Blade - both Kari and Ragavan are legendary, why not let them fight over a nice sword?

Impact Tremors, Purphoros, God of the Forge - with all the monkeys coming in, you'll get in a hefty chunk of damage.

Memorial to Genius, Treasure Cruise - some delicious card draw.

Mirage Mirror - just a real sweet card. Want to copy Kari to make another monkey? Want almost ANY permanent on the battlefield? It's yours, for two mana.

Skullclamp - sometimes you just gotta brain juice a monkey.

Stranglehold - as previously mentioned, card: Malaren of the Mornsong

Strionic Resonator - copy the monkey trigger! Get two!

Sword of the Animist - might as well benefit off all those attacks and dig out some basics.

Vial Smasher the Fierce - a partner with red. That's about all she brings, though she can be a swift clock.

Added a Helm of the Host after being reminded of it's existence by fractured-infinity.
